Anyway, Hes a very small TE at 230 lbs. He would have to show up at the combine at at least 240 to have a shot at getting drafted before the 4th round. Otherwise he wont be able to get any kind of regular playing time because he would have no shot at blacking DE's/LB's.

Good question, the OP never did explain that, did he??

I like the kid, what I read about him reminds me of Jay Novacek... he seems to be an effective receiver, but won't wow you with his blocking...

Oh, I don't see him going in the first 3 rounds, at least not right now... NFLDS has recently revised their ratings, they have him as their 108th best prospect, which would translate into a solid 4th rounder...

I don't know if he'd be a good fit for the Cowboys, they have Jason Witten to handle their receiving chores, but if they drafted him, well, like I said, he reminds me of Jay Novacek, and Witten won't be playing forever... I could get behind that pick if it happened...

Except that he has the size of a big RB.....most of the stand out TE's are taller and have 15 lbs on him. Unless he goes to the combine and weighs 240+ and runs a sub 4.6 40 I don't see anybody going crazy over him. A mid 4th round project is what I see.

He's 6'6" and has the ideal body frame to put on weight. He'll weigh whatever his camp thinks he should at the combine.


He was doubled on 90% of his routes and still put up big numbers. I think he's the next best TE

Ok I'll admit I'm wrong here. I looked up his size and thought I saw 6'1. Yes,6'6 is a game changer. That's gives him a lot of room to add weight comfortably. Like this kid a little more now. Would be nice if we could replace Bennett with him in the 4th or 5th.

Thanks for 'splaining what you meant, you had me lost... you might be right... he is awfully skinny for a TE, though, he really needs to hit the weights between now and the combine...

If we add him, he won't replace Bennett's blocking... he's just not known for being a blocker...

Which does not mean that I'd be opposed to adding him, he'd be a nice weapon to add as a receiver...

Almost certain he'll weigh in over 240, but while emost veryone is focusing on 40 time, the agility numbers are what I'll be interested in. That was Bennett's greatest short coming.
