Now lots of people are down on Marion? Wasn't it just barely over a year ago that almost every fan was screaming for him to be the man here and to quit wasting time with Jones?

Man people seem to turn on guys quickly.

I love Barber... But being vocal is not in his blood.. Now T. Choice might take on the roll you speak of...

I love the birdbrains that have soured on Barber because he had a bad season in a year where the team as a whole performed poorly.

And you call yourselves fans.

The guy works, keeps his mouth shut, never complains about his role or his touches, is tough, everything you want in a player.

A leader doesnt need to open his mouth. That is my point.Barber is the epitomy of a "football player".

I have a feelin that there will be someone that steps up this year and becomes a leader. I don't kno who it will be. But if anyone can do it, it could be the Barbarian, he plays with a ton of heart. But someone is gonna step up and lead us to victory....or epic failure.

as long as he leads in his role from two years ago. I said before and I will say it again.....He is no starting back.

And how can he be a leader with the reports are TO was having a negative effect on him. Anyone who let one man "divide" a locker room is not equipped to be a leader.

Isn't this part of the Cowboys problem

The players who should be the leaders, Romo, Barber, Ware & Witten (who seem to be first class people as well as top class players) don't appear to be the kind of guys to scream & shout.

They can lead with their actions on the field, but don't appear to be natural leaders off it.

I guess that's possibly another reason why "The Player" isn't here any more.

The Barbarian is the type of guy I want on my team. But the leader of this team is Tony Romo now. That is why T.O is gone. The last 4 Superbowl winning teams, Pittsburgh (Ben Roethlisberger), NY (Eli Manning), Indy (Peyton Manning), NE (Tom Brady), all have their QB as the teams overall player leader.

This is clearly tony Romo's team and that's what Jerry is talking about when he says making this team "as Romo friendly as possible". Now Eli Manning isn't the toughest or most vocal of the 4 but he is the captain of his ship. There are periods in NFL history where Parcells (Giants, Phil Simms) bucked that trend and eventually teams like the Baltimore Ravens (Trent Dilfer) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Brad Johnson) had their time too. There probably will be the few other to come. But the general consensus throughout the NFL's championship history is that teams who clearly have their QB as the captain of the ship win the majority of the SB's.

Tony Romo is this teams overall leader.

If every player gave their all like he does we would never lose.
