Most on this forum figured he would be gone after this season, replaced by Connor Williams. Even most in the media seemed to think so. And most people's attitude was "good riddance."

Through three games, Collins has arguably been the Cowboys' best offensive lineman, which is saying A WHOLE LOT considering that all three pro-bowlers are playing at a high level.

So, I'd say that's the biggest surprise thus far this season, and a part of the reason our offense has been so good thus far.

We are so spoiled we think Conner Williams is a problem.

People have a hard time distinguishing between having an ocassional problem on individual play and being a constant problem. The tendency with some on these kinds of boards is often to look only at extremes - either a player is a stud or a problem. Of course, that's not reality.

I have been an advocate of La'el. I have always thought he was deserving of the pro-bowl and an extension. I am glad the rest of the world has awaken.

And just think of this.
Many do or did not like Williams or Collins. Then they said play Collins at OG, and then said play Williams at RT. But yet they wanted both gone. So what do they want.
Well what they got is a very good OL.

If he hadn't knocked Ha Ha so far down the field it would have been a touchdown. He accelerated him 10 yards down the field.

I’m just impressed and thrilled that his play has ramped up AFTER getting a big deal. That’s awesome.
Hope throatzilla is treating him right

can we STOP handing out rewards after 3 games.. thats an end of season big picture thing teams do.. not 3 games guys!! im sick of all the showering and anointing 3 games in..:banghead:

This is a good post. I was really critical of Collins last season. I thought his technique and feet were awful. He almost got Dak killed multiple times. You are 100% correct. Collins looks great. He is not crossing his feet any more. Staying square to the attacker. Plus he looks strong. I have been watching the games and saying that he has been tough to move. Most improved player this season.

Collins has been what COllins has been. its the fans that need to catch up. They think OL men are like RBs, come into the league ready to go. not going to happen.

I can go with La'el Collins.
However, don't be surprised it Travis Frederick is your NFL's Comeback Player of the Year.

maybe we should ask taco what he thinks. great player. great signing.

Lets not forget Dak is more consistent with his drop so the OL has pretty good idea where he is going to be on 3-5-7 step drops. Last year it was guessing game.

Easily IMO.

He's gone from a run of the mill, average, competent RT to possibly one of the elite RTs in the game right now (granted, yes, it's three games against blah competition).
