La'el Collins Update?

Just wondering if any one has heard anything about Collins coming off IR this season? With Chaz Green struggling to stay healthy and Leary looking good... Collins would be an awesome addition to our depth.

The guy can play LG, LT, and RT.

Either way I like this 'One designated to return from IR' rule. Adds a bit of gamesmanship and strategy to who they put on IR or on active roster. I'd decide between him and Tapper at the last possible moment incase of a starter injury.

TBH-- I'd prefer Collins to Tapper even though we need all the help we can get rushing the passer. At this point-- having Collins backing up 3 positions along the OL brings more value than hoping Tapper can add something to the DL rotation despite missing the entire year.

I agree. I heard earlier today on The Fan was that Collins was likely done for the season, including playoffs, but that Tapper had a pretty good chance of coming in for our first playoff game as a rotational pass-rusher.

Leary is playing better guard that Collins did prior to his injury.
