So where did the 4.71 40 come from as reported earlier?
I got it from a couple different sources including a draft message board. You'll see numbers all over the place. The 4.74 could have been from Gil's own clock -- who knows.

You all know I would absolutely love this guy with a star on his hat.

Something that ahsnt been mentioned which is a huge plus is the guy has that "motor" you want from a pass rusher.

The guy will come at the QB all day with the same HIGH intensity.

according to NFL Draft Scout, he ran his short-shuttle in 4.42, and ran a 1.65 10-yard dash, and 2.72 20-yard dash, his 10-yard dash time was a little slower than most of the top DE prospects

they also listed his fastest 40 as a 4.68 and his slowest as a 4.84, which would give him a 4.76 40, on par w/ the top DEs too

and he had a 9'9" broad-jump

BIO:
Wood-Daddy as he's known, is a big time pass rusher who can play standing up or with one hand on the ground. He seems to always be in on all the action, and always comes up big when the Wolverine's need him to. Will be a hybrid OLB/DE in the mold of DeMarcus Ware and Shawne Merriman in the NFL.

No way he's similar to Ware....that's laughable! :lmao:

Of course not, I don't watch any football!

Then you should be able to draw comparisons.

Its simply a comparison, it doesn't mean the "experts" think Woodley will perform as Ware has in the NFL.

They do this with all players, including Calvin Johnson and Randy Moss.

Johnson is a beast on paper but hasn't proved anything in the NFL yet, its still a fair comparison.

Results are coming in. Looks like he ran a 4.71, threw up 29 reps, and had a 38.5" vertical.

Very nice numbers, and it'll certainly put him out of reach for our 2nd round pick. I say we bundle up those extra 2nd day picks and see how far we can trade up to get him.

Apparently he was a pretty decent basketball player too in HS. He has skeels. ;)

I can live w/ that clocking BUT I don't like seeing it in the 4.80s. NOT when there are other OLB/DEs who are just as highly rated & productive but w/ better athletic ability......Looks like he's lost weight and is in the 260lbs range (is probably his best NFL playing weight)......He's an interesting prospect.

I've read reports that the 4.84 was because he tripped.
