You can't put big money into a player or players that haven't shown up when the season was on the line.
Getting picks doesn't matter as much as getting rid of sand bags that are holding the team back.
If the Cowboys are goi g to pay big money to a player or players, those players must have shown that they have elevated the team when it mattered and are likely to do it again.
