Lamb or Pickens?

Pickens ......... the dude is a certified dawg on the field. Dez and Michael Irvin vibes.......
Love lamb but I don't see the killer instinct with as much as Pickens. I'm not saying he doesn't have it but Pickens, like Dez and Michael, wanna to embarrass you.

A lot of traffic right now about Pickens and I get it too so let's see how the forum sees it if a decision has to be made? No "fence sitting" please, no sign both, if YOU ABSOLUTELY had to decide....which?

Me? I'm going Lamb. His ceiling is superb, top 5 WR in my view, definitely top 10. Pickens THIS YEAR top 3 but......show me more please.

Higher upside is Pickens........by a little bit but lower downside Pickens by a mile.

Let's not pretend the Steelers are dumb, they could see "something". I am willing to allow Pickens the benefit of the doubt but if you made me bet my life savings.........Lamb is the choice.

Anyone else?
Has to be Lamb by default. Trading Lamb would create massive dead cap.

Why bother with a scenario that's not gonna happen?

it's definitely Lamb because he already has a large contract, that's it there's no fence sitting, you're hypothetical has a problem when you're telling us we can't say both, because right now it's either Lamb or both,

there is no one or the other lamb has a huge contract with a lot of dead cap money, he is not going anywhere, so my choice is Lamb homegrown drafted cowboy who will be loyal to the Cowboys and not make this just about him.

I know that's not what you're looking for but that's what you're going to get there is no choice Lambs here he will be here whether George Pickens is here or not it's really up to him and his agent and how much they're willing to take to stay on this team in this scenario they're definitely going to have to take less than they would get starting elsewhere...

This is as bad as some people suggesting we could cut/trade OSA with no repercussions and keep Clark ,that's not happening, The cap says it's not and really the misjudgment of OSAs play, just makes this more about fans thinking they know what's going on and that they're right and well they don't the cap matters..

Dak needs both

Josh Allen would only need one….but Dan isn’t Allen
WRONG.. Apparently he doesn't work well with receivers he called Stefan Diggs a culture killer and that he couldn't work with him, and guess what that dudes playing in the Super Bowl tonight and that's something the thing you got rid of because you said you couldn't work with that receiver, and what happened to Amari Cooper?

So yeah, nice to bring up Prescott in this which is annoying as it always has you found a way to bring his name into this and then you misspell his name ,you were the first who are we talking about Danny Dimes?

You need proof, how about a team with hardly any run game and not a clear number two wide receiver in 2023 ,and Prescott and Lamb lit it up... I mean one of the best quarterback wide receiver combos in Cowboys history and it stacks up well in historical NFL record books as well go find me one...

Show me where that one receiver with Josh Allen could have had 1800 yards double digit touchdowns, Yeah, I think that somehow, you're mistaking your hate for Prescott trying to make Josh Allen something he's not.

But apparently Joe Burrow needs it ,He has it he has had it forever and he hasn't really done anything with it either Nice try though we could keep this going all day..

you want me to show you all the other quarterbacks who need better players around them like Troy and Roger their offensive lines their run games and their defenses were the best they had multiple good wide receivers as well so you want to go there,

I mean we could do this all day...

Let's make it really true all quarterbacks at least need one that they're on the same page with if they have one elite wide receiver or something close to it they can function in the NFL as long as they have what a run game an offensive line a defense a good coaching staff right all the things that you see a lot of these teams in the playoffs have and when the quarterbacks make mistakes they cover it up They don't ask their quarterback to be perfect...

No, the Steelers are dumb. They let Pickens go for almost nothing and then signed Metcalf to that big contract.

Now the ball is in our court, and the Cowboys seem to be achieving defeat in the midst of victory. Signing Pickens should be the easiest thing Jerry could do. Both Prescott and Lamb are willing to restructure or take a pay cut to make it happen. Come on, Jerry—put down the whiskey bottle and make this happen.

Until Jerry starts restructuring contracts this conversation is a waste of time.

False dilemma. False choice. Pickens will be signed or he will play out the tag (to the detriment of the salary cap situation). I don't see any team that will depart with TWO first round draft picks AND pay him 35 mil/yr. The last time a non-exclusive player was tagged and then traded was 2000. Joey Galloway, to the Cowboys. Jerry should remember that one. It almost NEVER happens that a tagged player gets traded.

Both

I’ll give you one, Ceedee is Ceedee with or without Dak. It’s been proven every place he’s played before Dak in the biggest games. Ceedee was a 1st rounder for a reason, he’s beat whoever is on defense at every level. He still managed 1000 yards with rush, dalton, and dinucci. He was 1000 yard guy with Baker, Kyler, and Jalen all three years at OU. When has Dak ever elevated a WR that wasn’t great before he got here? Don’t say Pickens, everyone knew he’d be productive and Steelers aren’t built for air attack with Tomlin. Pickens was legit in college which we all knew, Dak did what any QB that’s allowed to throw would do.

We need to keep both players CD lamb drops too many balls to be counted on as a true number one receiver.
Maybe he's a number one in this soft era of football but he's not Drew Pearson or Michael Irvin.

Lamb flat out here is footsteps when going over the middle.

Pickens is everything you'd want he's a gamer he's a clutch player.

He makes tough catches he competes for the ball and wins.

But you never know when his brain is going to Short circuit. And negate all the skills he has.

We need both they complement each other well when one goes down the other can pick up the slack get it done Jerry figure it out

I want both and I went back and forth on this during the season. How Pickens ended the season pushed it back in favor of Lamb. He’s more reliable despite the drops.

Pickens.

Lamb is the way more rounded WR. But Pickens has that Moss factor in him. Just a threat that is always able to beat you. That is rare. Lamb lacks that.

Id go Pickens and find me a so-so #2 wr to complement him. If id stay with Lamb it would be much harder to find a good WR to complement him and have the same threat of that WR duo.
Good post. And Lamb takes a lot of punishment. Cowboys fans might look up in 2 years and ask "what happened to CeeDee?" But much like Zeke Elliot...usage rate and playing style just leads to a guy that is just physically beat up

Those WR hand offs or end around where CeeDee got hurt..are just ways to increase his touches to justify his paycheck...that is Jerry the owner's influence. Cee Dee should NOT be used as a RB....it's just stupid!
