You are exactly right.....I forgot about him
Yeah but it was off about him I never thought he would. You kind of sensed they didn’t value him like they did Frederick’s. I knew him and Armstrong were goners. I can’t really point my finger to why…I think you need a little more credentials from this front office. But at the same time they gave Steele a big deal so I don’t know lol.

I am scratching my head over some choices.

Washington has 2 guys on the list and they won 11 games already. Someone must have played well for them besides McLaurin and Daniels. How about Frankie Luvu? He has kept them in some games.

I think Mahomes has to be there. He won 15 games this year without his best receivers or RB. I get the Josh Allen pick and I think Joe Burrow is playing really well this year. But Mahomes is the best QB in the league. He is the legitimate tractor that pulls the trailer. It is him then fight it out over the other two choices.

How about the Giants losing Barkley and McKinney to free agency and both are named starters in the Pro-Bowl. 2 3rd round comp picks is not going to make up for that.

I am not as impressed with Cam Jurgens as others. I think he gets a lot of credit for what Landon Dickerson does. Dickerson is the Eagles Zack Martin in his prime. To me Jurgens is solid but unspectacular.

Slam me if you must but I don't think Tyler Smith had a pro-bowl year. He is another player I think is solid but not spectacular. If you asked me to name a better guard, I would have to research it, but watching him this year he just seemed like all the other Cowboys offensive linemen. Kind of lost at times. I am not saying he is bad just not as good as I expected he would be.

Byron Jones had a monster pro bowl season right before his final season in Dallas; but that was a wise pass, as two better CBs were right around the corner

Edit: does Pollard count?
I wouldn’t count Pollard because he was coming off a bad year. And plus a running back they seem to let them go except Zeke for some reason. I forgot about Byron I think he priced himself out of here though. I think they would’ve brought him back if it was just a little cheaper than what he got. 82 million is nasty work damn I didn’t realize it was that much.

I somewhat agree on Cam. I think his cred right now is the offense not taking a step back in places you’d expect by losing a HoF center. It’s that combined with the NFC not having a bunch of Frank Ragnow’s, so who was the definably better center? Solid but unspectacular is enough this year it looks like.

How about this one:

https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/jordan-mailata/66916

Highest graded Tackles this year. Highest graded player this year. One of the highest grades they’ve ever given a player in a single year. 0 QB hits allowed in 798 snaps. Been top 3 in tackle grading for many years now… Zero career pro bowls.

Mahomes has not played well though. Josh and Burrow deserve it more.

Losing McKinney and Barkley was the right move. Especially for those contracts. Giants job was to suck so get rid of everyone and get another top pick and build around Nabers.

The thing about these Pro Bowl discussions is it’s tough to gauge without watching every single player in the league. Like is Tyler Smith a Pro Bowler? Maybe? Maybe not. But I can’t tell you who’s playing as good or worse without watching other guards.

Same goes for Luvu he looks great to me and I’m sure he will be an alternate but are the other guys more deserving? Possibly.

Think Jaylon Smith, Diggs, Sean Lee, and Miles Austin just to name a few but I suppose you are right there have been some he let walk or made lowball offers.

Barkley's average salary, if he sees his full contract is $12.5 million. For 2,000 yards rushing an 15 TD total, I think the Eagles got a bargain.

I can see where McKinney's deal might be too rich for some teams, but 7 INTs is a nice year a for a safety.

Perhaps the Giants need to save the money, but it is still giving up a lot of talent.

BTW......not sure any fans noticed but Stephen Jones uses the Pro Bowl as a major prerequisite to offering players a 2nd contract. In fact, I can't remember an originally drafted Pro Bowl player who didn't get a 2nd contract. My point is this darn near seals Aubrey and Turpin's return or at least solid offers from Stephen.
Yes. Definitely does matter in contract negotiations with every team not just the Cowboys.

Tyler Smith making the pro bowl is just nonsense. Hoffman and Bass made more holes in the run game than that guy. He is a fine player but nothing special definitely not something we should break the bank for.

We agree on a lot but not here........The Giants are a better team with both players than not. The problem was created by extending Danny Dimes (lol) and not upgrading the position via draft or free agency. ( could have had Bo Nix, Penix or JJ McCarthy OR Darnold as a free agent ). Now you have lost two ALL-PRO players and still haven't fixed the QB position. Interestingly I'm reading nuggets the Vikes will likely sign Darnold and trade McCarthy. Man.....Barkely is now everything they thought he would be. Playing with a top QB and OLine has changed his career.

BTW.....he has 2 more years on his current deal ( signed 3-year $12.5M average). I wouldn't play another down under the current deal w/o restructuring that makes me the highest paid @ $20M. ( McCaffrey avg $19M ).
