Curious if anyone else noticed this.

All year, I've watched Lance Dunbar and asked "why?" Why was he here? Why give him snaps? He looked useless.

However, the past 2-3 games, he looks much quicker, much faster.

Has that knee fully healed? He looks like a different guy lately.

I haven't seen anything that stands out from Dunbar, McFadden or Morris in the last month except how they are not Zeke

The Cowboys are like sisyphus and Dunbar is the boulder,we nurture him all along the season with his injuries and he crushes us in the end,i have never seen a player who we carried for o long who is so useless.

I have not seen a problem with Dunbar. He just didn't get many opportunities. He is a good blocker and good receiver and good ST player. I don't know why people hate him.

Watch him. There's a spark there again. That knee must finally be responding like before.
I have game pass and have been watching all the Dunbar footage and IMO, he is not any different than he was been any other season. He's a JAG player however, DMac does stand out. One is a waste of a roster spot and that guy is Lance. :muttley:

My own main issue is that when Dunbar is on the field it means that Elliott isn't.

Dunbar is very dangerous, and at anytime can take it to the house. He did it already in one game, and was called back on a penalty.

Good receiver yes.

But Dunbar is not good at pass protection, he's just too little. When you see a team showing blitz, and it's only 5 lineman and Dunbar back there to protect Dak....Do you honestly feel comfortable?

I have absolutely noticed him more the last few games. I think he could contribute more if exclusively ran out of the slot. He should be used like the Giants use the kid out of Oklahoma (name escapes me right now...been a long day) I don't see any point of lining him up in the backfield because Zeke and even DMC can do every thing better than him: run, block and receive. This guy is too small to be of any real benefit in our backfield. I thought the TD he had a couple weeks ago that was called back (VS. Tampa?) was from the slot. Lucky is pretty worthless and I think Dunbar can create bonafide mismatches with LB's and safeties in the slot.

Exactly JBell. I read your post after mine, but yeah...he's a shrimp. Run him out of the slot with Beasley, Dez, JWit and TWil. That's a 5 receiver set with an empty backfield (meaning no Zeke or DMC) So the next point is....how the hell many times would you suggest running this formation? 2-4 times tops because Zeke is your best player and we need him out there at virtually all times. When he isn't in there, DMC spells him. So in the end, not too much need for Mr. Dunbar IMHO.

Love the Sisyphus reference. Hope Dunbar is as crafty as the Greek reference.

really? McFadden has stood apart from that pack, at least from my perspective
He had one good run and then 6 carries for 4 yards................mehhhhhh......JAG

total 24 carries for 87 yards -- 3.6ypc---- same average as Morris and Dunbar

27 touches and a long of 16 yards and that is running, receiving and returning

not exactly Tyreek Hill

I saw the same thing, several games back he was clearly playing through injury and didn't have his normal speed. The last couple of games he has, the play for a TD that was called back is exactly why he has a roster spot. All DCs cover RBs with a LB and there are very few LBs in the NFL that can cover Dunbar one on one.

No you are right, but the threat is there and he can bust one long. Injuries have also been a part of his problem, so hopefully he has healed and can contribute in the playoffs.

We'll really need all men on their games for the playoffs. If Dunbar shows up in practice, it's a good bet Linehan will find work for him. It's time for every guy out there to put his best foot forward and contribute. Hopefully, Lance will find a way to show up when it counts most. Now's the time.
