When the Rams signed running back Lance Dunbar, the idea was that he would be the No. 2 running back behind Todd Gurley. But that’s not how the depth chart looks now.

Rams coach Sean McVay said Monday that Dunbar is out indefinitely with a knee injury, and Malcolm Brown is now the No. 2 running back. Although Brown has just 22 carries for 56 yards in his two years as a Ram, McVay said Brown has proven himself in camp.

The more things change, the more they stay the same...

Have I ever mentioned how glad I am that this guy is gone?

And I never want to read the term "Lance Dunbar role" again.

Wonder if it's the same knee he blew out when he stupidly ran the kickoff out of the endzone a couple years ago.

I've never seen so much love from coaches for a player who did next-to-nothing. Heck, they even held him out of practices and preseason games (like they do the with the veteran, most valuable players).

1 touchdown his whole career. Never more than 21 catches in a season. And never more than 150 rushing yards in any given year.

Seems like he's just going to be another guy who steals money from the NFL for a few years and then retires.

I also get a kick out of those who refuse to believe that players are injury prone.

Some guys just don't have the genes and bodies to hold up to the physicality the NFL requires.

Dunbar didn't 'steal money.'

He was a guy that outperformed other players in practice and training camp. And when he got opportunities in games, he produced.

The problem was for him is that he's been injury prone. All of his injuries were legitimate injuries and I'm sure if you suffered those injuries you wouldn't think you were 'stealing money from the NFL.'

The fact that you could post the bolded part and actually mean it, I just can't bring myself to take you seriously on the subject.

I'm glad he's now stealing the Rams money instead of ours.

Sorry about your luck L.A.!
I think everyone here would kinda enjoy hearing good things Dunbar could be doing for another team, like that " guilt by association" thing, your teams the cowboys/ he was a cowboy,,, to just flip the switch and disconnect isn't really what I'd call a normal brain at work,,,just thinking out loud.(I couldn't help but not like Calvin Hill even when he sported a Commanders helmet)
