Am I the only one on this blog who is really impressed with what we are seeing from this guy? I've been waiting to see his name come up in a thread title, but haven't seen it yet. Out of all the young guys we have watched this preseason, he has really impressed me the most, followed closely by Travis Frederick.

Last year, I wasn't really even sure if he should make the team. This year, he looks like a completely different player both from a physical and skilset perspective. He looks to be more decisive with his running and is hitting holes with authority. He makes catching passes from out of the back field look easy and is quick to explode up field once the ball is secure. Granted, we have watched him play against mostly backups, but I honestly believe this kid just may be the next surprise running back find. Hopefully what we have seen carries over into the regular season.

I've seen a few threads in here about him and I agree with you that he is big on the Radar this year. The Cowboys staff has seen it as well because they still have him listed as 2nd string. I'm still not sold on him being able to carry the load of a full time back but really excited in what I see from him. Dallas does a good job of finding talent in the least likely places...well that combined with the ability to develop players.

He still has quite a bit of proving to do, as far as being an everydown back; I agree with you. But as a change-of-pace back, he may give us something similiar to what Darren Sproles gives the Saints. I am hoping Callahan uses Dunbar in a similiar way. I also think Callahan should find ways to get Murray and Dunbar on the field at the same time, and let Romo experiment w/bringing either RB in motion to the slot. That could create some serious mismatches for the offense.
