There is something special about this cat. He reminds me of Chris Johnson and thats a great thing. This kid is little rocket and has cutting ability to make huge plays. Also has a bit of Lesean Mccoy ability in the passing game. He is gonna be big in this offense on dump down and draws.

Just saw that he first wound up in Texas in high school when Katrina forced his family out of his native New Orleans.

I love him but I would utilize him as a specialty back instead of ever trying to use him as the main guy. Having said that I believe he can have a long career with about 10 touches or less per game...

I like the dimension he adds to the offense as a smooth and explosive receiver out of the backfield. This is something Romo has never really had even though Murray is an okay receiver. I am hoping that we manage to run more screens this year to him and hope to get a number of LB isolations on him and let him do his thing. We saw all through TC that none of our LBs could handle him and we have some great coverage LBs. In the short bit we saw him in preseason we saw that burst to the edge and he completely embarassed the defense on that pass to the flat that he nearly took to the end zone before falling awkwardly and fumbling.

We definitely need to force the defense to pay a lot of attention to him. I know Romo has always been reluctant to use the RBs in the short game because of Witten's presence but he needs to get the ball in Dunbar's hands in space whenever possible due to his big play potential. In doing so, it should really open things up for Witten who has to deal with a lot of double teams and the WRs should get extra room with the LBs forced to avoid deep drops.

How is his pass blocking?

From what I could tell not so great. If he is utilized properly, ie with screens, draws and dump offs he will be just fine as a situational back.

having "take it to the house" ability/speed means that you have to try to get the guy in the game at least a little...we will see if he gets any pt against the giants

He needs to finish runs without tripping all over himself, fumbling the ball and hurting himself in the process. Seriously that wasn't a good play

All you need to know about Lance Dunbar was that he ran for 200 yards on Clemson.....and he played for North Texas.

He was all his team had, and Clemson still couldn't stop him.

Does Romo trust him during a real game ?
I think so.

I just kind of have a hunch that since Romo already has some level of comfort dumping it off to him that he didnt need to get a ton of snaps in the preseason.

I don't know if he'll be good or not but that guy can accelerate with the best of them. He took 2 steps on that pass play and was already at full speed.
