The Cowboys have signed wide receiver Lance Lenoir, an undrafted free agent who worked out for the team last week. Lenoir is Western Illinois' all-time leader in receptions, yards and touchdown catches. To make room for Lenoir, tight end M.J. McFarland was released. The Cowboys open their three-day minicamp today.

I believe in churning the roster but these 90 man rosters make it hard to be interested in any moves the team makes when the players won't even make the PS.

Buzz on a recent podcast (Break?) was that Hanna sounds like he's going to be back very soon, or at least that's how I took it.

Good. I like what I'm hearing about Rico, but who knows if he'll be ready to contribute regularly this season. Hanna and Swaim have both shown that they can be effective as blockers and reliable as receivers when called upon.

My first thought was, if you're going to churn the bottom of the 90-man, why wouldn't you at least opt for someone at a position where there's a more reasonable chance you could eventually use him (?). (Sure, someone might call attention to the fact I was one of those intrigued by Maclin, but then, that wouldn't have been churning the bottom of the roster... rather, it would be adding a legit improvement to the 53-man.)

On the other hand and second thought, churning the bottom of the 90-man actually should be a pure best-player-available pursuit, with an eye beyond even the current season's practice squad.

So, argued myself out of that first inclination.

And they may be thinking they're almost certainly going to lose some WR they would have liked to have been able to keep and develop on the PS.

Are there any highlights of this guy out there that aren't in slow-motion?
