Lance Rentzel passes away

Your embarassing yourself. I have seen Alworth play he was great. NFL network listed him top 100, and I certainly believe it But this is the question you need to ask yourself....how many players that were only top 1000 in their sport make their HOF? There is plenty of highlights on Youtube including the TD he caught in SB6.
No, I'm speaking truth. I've seen video of him playing, and I know they called him "Bambi" because he could run, but I never saw him live that I recall.

I could easily name 100 players vastly better than him. Good gosh. In the NFC East alone, I could.

Saying that Lance Alworth is not even in the Top 1000 players of all time is a Top 10 worthy ignorant statement.
There is some good ole boy syndrome in this thread. Wow.

I could name 50 Cowboys better than him right now with ease.

Well NFL network has him number 38 best all time player. For some I am going with their oponion over yours. Call me crazy.

That is patently stupid. Apparently his kids work at NFL Network. Lol

Had the world by the ballz as they say. Married to Joey Heatherton one of the hottest actress's at that time. A stupid act and it all came tumbling down. RIP Lance…

Something tells me it wasn't a single act.
He had flashed two young girls while he was at Minnesota. Charges got reduced to disorderly conduct. The version of the story I remember was that the Cowboys knew about his incident when they traded for him.

At an early age, I learned that some of my heroes were very human

That ain't human.

I have to say I was wrong and you are right. Scummy seems to be a better word.

It was quite the story back in the day. I remember kids on the school playground chanting, “Lance, Lance, zip up your pants!”

Lol, ok, that's funny.

Good football player.

But with a troubled and sick personal life.

I hope he got the help he needed and his later life was good and peaceful.

RIP, Lance Rentzel -- you gave the Cowboys a solid receiver to enhance the C-boy's performances. You were a thrilling WR to watch in the games you had as a Dallas Cowboy. Hat's off for that.
