I have an LR3 as well but I get decent mileage...

I consistently get 17-18 on the highway in normal mode and 15 in the city...

Here's a hint to try. Dial your Terrain Response to Sand mode. It will be a little less responsive but it isn't too bad. You will accelerate a little less quickly and your shift points will change a bit, but you can squeeze out 2 more mpg...

The Land Rover quality greatly improved under Ford's ownership and from what I understand their new owner TaTa Motors hit it out of the park with the new LR4 for quality measures...

I absolutely love my truck...

A majority of people that have them don't do fun stuff like that with them. I tend to get behind Land Rovers in grocery store parking lots and they slow down to less than 1 mph to go over the road humps, which I find very annoying.

Yeah, yuppies usually drive them. Or some trophy wife.

Eh? I'm not sure what you were looking at, but it must not have been a Rover. (A Jeep maybe!)

My LR3 is all leather, has an extremely smooth ride, five of the seven seats are heated and front seats move in six directions, it has two sun roofs, it raises and lowers to the ground on it's own to get in and out of it, bi-xenon adaptive headlamps, six speed transmission, headlight wipers, seats seven, and is strong enough to pull my house off it's foundation, and that isn't even beginning to talk about what it's capable of.

Now, a Jeep is utilitarian. My LR3 is just as nice as my CLK350 and my 525i were and is even nicer than our old 2004 BMW X5. The only difference between my 525i and my LR3 is the LR3 isn't a sports sedan, it's an off-road vehicle. If you're looking at a Rover, then you can't expect it to be a sports sedan. It was never intended to be! (Though the Range Rover Sport is pretty sweet!)

Isn't there some guideline against advertising on the zone?

I believe these things lead every other car manufacturor in dissatisfied owners for years.

My brother in law has one. Had it about a month and was driving down the road, and the entire body moulding on the drivers door just fell off.

They seem to be junk.
I think they turned junk when Jeep took them over.

He bought it new. Some sort of plastic piece on the door. I'm not overly familar with these vehicles so i don't know exactly what peice it was, but I know the thing is always in the shop for something.

Land Rover consistantly rates as one of the poorest made vehicles. But they are pretty, I'll give them that.
I have a couple of buddies who drive newer model Range Rovers and they're used to high end cars...and they like the RRs just fine.

One of my vehicles is on oversized SUV--which seems crazy in Dallas, but we do have two small kids. It's a Lexus 470 LX and now has 105k miles on it and runs just as smoothly as ever. It's also a very sturdy vehicle. I'd get rid of it but my wife wants one go-anywhere SUV in the household. Oh well, it is reliable.
