A league source told PFT's Mike Florio that the Dolphins quickly franchise-tagging Jarvis Landry is "being interpreted as a desire" by Miami to trade Landry.
The Dolphins slapped the tag on Landry on the first day teams were allowed to do so on Tuesday, which is pretty quick. Typically, tags come closer to the early-March deadline each year after both sides have exhausted all avenues in extension talks, buying the sides until July to hammer out a long-term deal. That very well could be the case here, as well, but the way the Dolphins have spoken of Landry the past year-plus makes this report believable. Prior to Tuesday, Miami's front office had been lukewarm at best when talking about Landry's Dolphins future. A trade would be complicated, as Landry would likely have to agree to a new long-term deal with the acquiring team, while the Dolphins would also want significant compensation. Landry being in Miami for 2018 doesn't appear to be a lock at this point. Feb 20 - 10:08 PM

Landry was the closest option to the Antonio Brown comparison in the league available, IMO.
Doubt there will be much interest now...
Good job by the fish, seems they have turned the corner on retention values.

Landry was a pipe dream for some.

WR hungry teams would of paid him close to what he wanted.

I really don't see how anyone could compare Landry to Antonio Brown? He averaged 8.8 yards per reception. He is the not the player the boys should have even been looking at. I would rather go after Allen Robinson.
One a much cheaper note:
Montcrief
Cameron Meredith
Pryor

I still like Bryant from the Steelers in a trade.

Dolphins still reportedly willing to deal Landry.

Yup. They just franchised him so they didn't lose him for no value in 2018*.
Either Landry lowers his asking price or they revisit talks with teams that called them last TDL.

*Comp pick for 2019 draft

Draft another young WR. And hope for the best. But you have to play the rookies to see. JG will let rooks sit for a year before using them.

There are other FA WR's that will be available if the Cowboys are interested.

Rumor is the Dolphins are interested in shopping Devante Parker which is interesting.

think he was one of the players Gase was calling him out indirectly throughout the year.
He's coming on year 4 and soon the Dolphins will have to either give him the 5th year option or see him be an UFA at the end of the year. Wildly inconsistent and IMO tries to get by with little as possible IMO.
Would be a player someone tries to buy low and coach up to his "potential".
