Lane Johnson contract reworked/extended: When will this guy retire?

At some point he has to deteriorate and start giving up sacks almost every game, right. Micah should do him dirty.
I agree. He even looked a little less effective last year. He was still great but there were signs maybe age is starting to catch up to him. Nobody beat father time.

I am looking to the Eagles update CAP number but some contracts are still not updated on the websites. But the Eagles dead money is already piling up. It looks like they have $55 million in dead money so far with Brandon Graham, Darius Slay and James Bradberry still not accounted for. The dead money number could approach $100 million before all is said and done.

Hasn't he been somewhat injury prone? Though seemed healthier last year than he was the previous 2 or 3 years.
Always some ding where he misses a few games here and there, it seemed.
But he was more reliable to play than was Tyron Smith.

I was curious so I looked him up per PFF. Last year, he allowed 0 sacks, 1 QB hit, and 10 pressures on 451 passing offensive snaps. I saw his workout videos (insane stuff) and am convinced he is getting away with some sort of PED's. 34 year old tackles his size have big guts and lost muscle tone (even if still strong), but he looks like he could join the WWE now.

I didn't realize his numbers were that good. I could swear I saw him give up at least 1 sack. I could be wrong, or maybe it was negated by a penalty. In any case, what I've seen from old OL is they lose lateral movement first, or injuries start o happen at increasing frequency. Maybe Johnson is the exception, but it won't be forever.
