Laquon Treadwell

Almost posted a thread about him today. If he's available when we pick (likely somewhere between 12-20), idk how you pass on him. He'd be a matchup nightmare as a #2 receiver.

Josh Doctson and Tyler Boyd would be good considerations as well if they were available in the second.

Tyler Boyd is worthy of a first round pick, I personally would take him over Treadwell.

Yeah but if the draft fell like that would anybody be upset they didn't take Cook?

Supposedly the pro scouts like Hackenberg better than Cook. Compared Cook to AJ McCarren.

I'd take Cook in a heartbeat if he's available when we pick. I just don't think there's any way he doesn't end up going top 10 when it's all said and done, as QB's always shoot up boards on draft day.

Browns, Niners, and Texans all will likely be selecting Top 10 and need a QB badly. Lynch, Goff, and Cook will be long gone when we select, me thinks.

Strongly disagree. Just from a physical standpoint alone, Cook is a much better prospect McCarron. Cook is bigger, stronger, and has a much better arm than McCarron. He's also a better athlete, although not a great one.

McCarron was a game manager at Bama. His job was basically not to turn the ball over and to make the occasional good throw here and there, and he was very good at that. But, Cook is asked to win games at Michigan State. He's their best player offensively.

Cook has a first-round grade from just about every draft source available right now for a reason. McCarron certainly did not. What they do you have in common though is that they both take very good care of the football.

What does "Less dynamic version of Dez Bryant" mean?

What we need opposite Dez is not a lesser version of him, but a more dynamic version of Williams.

Also, no freaking way I'm passing on Jaylon Smith. There are good WRs to be had later.

This offense hasnt had a Terry Glenn, since Terry Glenn. She would have been perfect opposite Dez. Back to Treadwell, I wonder if the FO thinks Dez's career, durability and otherwise, might be shorter than others do.

I LOVE treadwell, I really do, I also hear he's a class act. Fantastic player and I would never be upset if we landed him. However, I don't see him as a great fit opposite Dez. I'd prefer a burner with some size to stretch the field. I'm a huge Bease fan but he's not running away from anyone straight down the field, he's just quick in and out of his cuts. We don't have anyone that scares defenses deep. This is why I wanted the kid from Miami last year, although he went way too early for us.

Fair assesment.

A better fit opposite of Dez would be Will Fuller of Notre Dame. He's a speedster who stretches the field. Great playmaker and we'd be lucky to get him.
