This one took five years to build, cost nearly £1billion and the annual maintenance bill will be £2million.

dont have to worry about sharks in a lake either. if you run into whale poo, be on the look out for whale vomit, evidently it is worth a ton of money.

I have a history of getting hit by Jelly Fish and the like in the ocean I was cursed at one time in my life lol

1st time in the ocean at 5 in Georgia stung; 3 trips to Galveston in Highschool stung all 3 times; hit in the head by a jumping fish and impaled my foot on a rock in high tides :scream:

Myrtle beach nothing; VA Beach no issues; mexico stung by Portuguese manowar.

Return trips to Gavelston now that i live in the area no issues.

For some we are cursed

What the hell are you worried about? They aren't spending your money.

Don't tell me that the picture in your sig is your Charger.

If so, good job.

If not, get off your butt and make yours like that!! :D

It's a hotel/resort thing. It's their money. It's not like this was publically funded by city hall and forcing the people to pay.

I think that looks pretty badass.

Chile's monster pool uses a computer- controlled suction and filtration system to keep fresh seawater in permanent circulation, drawing it in from the ocean at one end and pumping it out at the other.

The sun warms the water to 26c, nine degrees warmer than the adjoining sea.
Chilean biochemist Fernando Fischmann, whose Crystal Lagoons Corporation designed the pool, said advanced engineering meant his company could build "an impressive artificial paradise" even in inhospitable areas.

"As long as we have access to unlimited seawater, we can make it work, and it causes no damage to the ocean."
doesn't sound like that much of a waste of resources besides the land and concrete and stuff.

Though that pools is amazingly cool, it it still a huge waste of resources.

Kind of like that large project they have going on in Arlington right now. :D

I am curious. What is £1billion in US dollars?
