LaRon Landry is everything we need and miss a Jimmy Johnson playmaker

When Jimmy came in he swept out all the old secondary players who had been loafing for years, (minus Bates ) and he brought in Game Changers, ball strippers, ball hawks, guys who could block punts, Corner blitz etc etc ..

Landry made Peter King's first half All Pro Team this year and quite frankly made me sick thinking about how good our DB's once were and how our playmaking, ballstealing mentality has dissipated into 'bend but don't break " BS

Landry is an old skool Jimmy type - Jimmy would have made him a D Captain - contrary, I can't think of ONE Jimmy player besides Ware.

Landry was badly used by the previous DC's; now I still do not think he is all that; but he certainly is playing worlds better then he has since he was drafted.

Landry had been a massive bust before this season.

Its been 7 or 8 games of (supposedly) good play, after several seasons of bad play. Maybe he's turned the corner, or it could be a blip on the radar screen.

Its as simple as the difference between an aggressive defense that forces it's will on the opponent and Wade's read and react defense which relies on players ability to read plays. Considering we have some of the most ignorant defensive players in the league, I would much rather we just attack like the Steelers or 'Skins.

Yeah, who didn't think first two years of Roy Williams seasons here in Dallas who was going to be HOF eventually? I am talking about Safety. That guy was more devastating then Landry could ever wish to be.

Prior to this season, other than his rookie season, Landry was a bum. ALl he cares was his big guns and trying to make highlight hits. This year he is playing much better, but at the same time, if he was in Dallas and gave up some of the plays he has given up this year, he would be roasted.
