Did anyone see or hear the reports that Larry Allen was making a bid for LeBlentley Center for Saints to come to the Cowboys. I saw some post where Bentley whom lived in Cleveland was wanting to go there, but after Larry Allen talked to him, or something like that, Leblentley was all for it? I think that will really help us.
I maybe wrong, but Al Johnson just doesnt cut it, he gets pushed back in pile too much, and either he or Bledsoe were at fault for some fumbles this year at exchange between center and QB. That cost us at least 2 games. Sure, some guys said, that Johnson has only played like 2 years, one year being on injured reserve. Yet, at same time, that 3 years he should have been hitting the weights, getting stronger and tougher.
I think thats part of the problem some guys on the cowboys team dont want to pay the price it takes to become good, work out etc. I remember back in 70's after all coaches and players had left the field. Rayfield Wright was still on field in 73 and 74 working with Harvey Martin an extra hour after each practice. To improve Harveys skills, etc, and we all know how Harvey Martin turned out.
Its time for guys like Al Johnson, Willie Blade, Sean Ryan, Torrin Tucker (whom we all know was the first to leave field after offseasoning conditioning) not working his butt off to become the best, etc.), Andre Guronde--we all know how parcells spoke all season long how Guronde was poor at snaping in the shotgun formation, and how Guronde blew a block that a New York Giant turned fumble into a touchdown. Come on, guys like Guronde, Tucker, Blade, Johnson have been here 3-4 years its time for them to grow up, or get out of Dodge city, either they want to play or not play.

LeBentley and Young,,,that would be a sweet offseason.

May not even need Vince this year but to take the slack in camp.

Romo to New Orleans

Henson to Detroit

Bentley is fine. Forget about Young. His passing skills are questionable. Let's stick with Bledsoe for now

Until I actually see a link to this, I'm going to assum this is complete and total B.S.

It has all the signs of the typical lie/rumor that circulates about free agents. That is, we have a person who, judging by the rest of his post, would really like the free agent to be here which gives motive for him to fabricate this rumor. It has the un-provable and un-likely factors. Why would Larry Allen be able to convince him? By sheer weight of his personality? His salesmanship? Allen has neither. And of course it has no source.

So I am going to assume this is a complete fabrication until I see a source.

Next thing you know, some idiot is going to make up a story about Bentley supposedly being in town looking at houses.

Two more things:

1. How would anyone other than Allen and Bentley know that such a conversation occurred? How would this source exist? It's absurd.

2. How long before we start getting the rumors about Bentley telling people that he "wants to play for Parcells."

Lies. It's all lies. And it is hella annoying that the same people do the same things everytime there is a free agent that they are interested in.

I, for one, saw the two talking.

Of course, having the two play next to each other during agame is going to lead to some conversation.

Since it's basically impossible to guess hwat they were talking about, anything more is a load of invented garbage.

LeBentley is going to be a highly sought after FA this year. If we go after him, it will cost a LOT.

I once had a T-shirt that read "Dain Bramaged"... talk about truth in advertising...

I went through a phase like that, into smart*** T-shirts... had another that quoted Albert Einstein, "Great Spirits Have Always Encountered Violent Opposition From Mediocre Minds"... I always said that sounded like a classy way of saying "it's hard to soar with the eagles when you're surrounded by turkeys"...

well, Larry did recruit Marco Rivera at the Pro Bowl last year, and Rivera mentioned it as one of the reasons that drew him to Dallas, the other being talking to Parcells, but we know the main reason was the money :)

Larry did groom Rivera for Dallas, I do not know for a fact if he did the same with LeCharles but it is not out of character for Allen as of late to do such a thing. Cash is a necessary part of any FA aquisition but all of this presupposes that NO does not franchise LeCharles.
