Larry Allen (knee) was ruled out of the 49ers' Week 5

Veteran guard Larry Allen (knee) was ruled out of the 49ers' Week 5 game against the Raiders after missing Friday's practice.

Coach Mike Nolan is hopeful that Allen can return for next week's intrastate contest with the Chargers. Adam Snyder will again start in his place at left guard.

I wonder what the Allen faithfuls would be saying if he were still here. We got rid of him just in time if not year a too late. While I appreciate what he did in the past he was and continues to be a shell of his former self.

It looks more and more to me like our team made the correct decision to let LA take off to the 49ers.
