Give kickers SOME credit... kicking ain't that simple.

Ya - but I could kick a 30 yard field goal with a pulled groin.

If you're in the NFL, you don't miss 30 yd field goals - plain and simple.

Good for LA. He gives props when they are due, like he did when I attended the game against the Skins, where Crayton caught the game winner and he bear hugged the guy, which he is a type of person that rarely shows emotion.

It is funny how people on this board talk about great players like Allen and Emmitt. On one end, you know when purcells was trying to trade him, he was lazy and aloof.

Now that he shows emotion and wants to dish out a little justice because a kicker cant make a 34 yard field goal, he is still lazy and aloof.

Amazing

Amazing? A class guy dotting his i's and crossing his t's can probably do what LA did to Cundiff and get away with it. Fans most likely wouldnt say anything about it. What we are saying is that Allen far to often isnt geting ANY push at all. Many times his guy slips the gap. Allen just isnt quick anymore. Sure he can bullrush anyone. Why go toe to toe w/ LA if you can just quickly slip by him?

He needs to get his own game right before stepping to anyone. The kicker of all people. Go jump on Bledsoe for that INT/TD he threw LA.

Get real. I can understand you not liking his antics in going after the kickers, but "over-rated"? You gotta be kidding me! Wanna bet he's not in Honolulu next February for the 11th consecutive time?

Wanna bet he gets there on his name like last year? :p: Its certainly not his play the past 3 years.

Did he go after the defense too? Come on Larry, leave the kickers alone.

The defense? They held a good offense to 14 points!

The Pro Bowl is full of over-rated players. Case in point is that Rivera, LA and Flo were on the team last year.

This Larry Allen/Billy Cundiff business is alleged. We have no idea if there's anything to this. I mean, there might be, but none of this is confirmed.

Please...

Allen got in the Pro Bowl last year on name alone and I will barely give you that.

But in 2003, Allen fully deserved to go to the Pro Bowl.

Allen has played at such a high level for years, everyone really expects the guy to be the Larry Allen of the late 90s forever.

I bet you he is/was better than most of the guards in 2004 and this year.

"I can tell you this something you didnt see on tv was after that kick was missed larry allen went right after cundiff as they were on the sideline and tucker had to hold allen back and then allen waived his hand at cundiff to get lost or something and billy went to the other side of the bench.............allen is all business."

Thanks Larry.
Ever wonder why kickers get nervous?

I think you got it backwards - LA was a basketcase in 2003 and shouldn't have been on the Pro Bowl squad. Last year he was okay - nothing spectacular. He could have easily not made the team - Wahle was much better.

He shouldn't make the team this year - he has been mediocre.

Nah, I could be wrong but I am pretty sure is when LA made his triumphant return. My memory may be failing me lol.

You know what, I think you are right. Parcells tried to trade him in his 2nd year or was it his first lol?

I know one of those years he was really good. The year we played the Texans in the Preseason and he was absolutely manhandling Robaire Smith.

I've always wondered why grown men use the child-form of their name, like Bobby, Billy, Tommy, etc., especially in football.

The next time Larry whiffs on a block and let's a DT totally own him (which will be next week by the end of the first quarter) I want to see Cundiff go after him on the sidelines and have to be held back by the punter.

It's only fair.

Yes, that would be QUITE funny. Totally appropriate, and probably resulting in being squashed like a bug.

neither is trying to hold an impressive offense to 14 points(the defense scored the other TD) or moving against a very good defense.

our defense got the turnover(s) back, but the missed FG cost us the game.

hopefully Tuna drafts a good kicker in the 3rd or 4th rounds next year.

Allen shouldnt go after nobody the way our o-line blocks for runs. Maybe Cundiff should put his foot in the o-lines you know what

Finally, a voice of reason in all of this chaos. Thanks for the clarity and posting exactly what I was thinking.

As for the rest of you, keep it up and we'll soon find ourselves knee-deep in a plethora of DavidYee posts as he takes on another "bully thread" and makes it his own personal crusade again. ;)

Leave the kicker alone, are you kidding? He has one simple job to do and it was a damn 30 yarder at that. I'd be in his *** too. Guys are playing hard then he comes in and misses a chip shot and yes, a 30 yarded is a chip shot. Big LA was right..
