Would you try to trade #19 for a 35 year old Larry Fitzgerald for 1 season?

OK, maybe not, so how about for the Dallas 2nd rounder?

or "progress stopper" ?

Only if you believe these two things are true:

(1) The Cowboys have a one-year window to compete for a Super Bowl.
(2) The single missing piece keeping us from the Super Bowl is a possession receiver.

Since neither of these things is remotely true, no.

Nope. I'm done trading high picks for current players unless they are 25 years old and All-Pros at their position.

Fitz is a possession guy at this point. Absolutely love his game, but we need some speed at wideout to stretch our field.

I wonder if he’s just a possession guy though. He didn’t have a legit QB most of this year.

Although, even if he had plenty in the tank, I doubt Linehan could be creative enough to take advantage of it.

Just spitballing

Well then let's go for it .....

No way. The Cowboys are trying to build a sustaining team not just a one year shoot for the moon one.

Trading a 1st round pick (or 2nd) for a 35 year old WR doesn't make sense to me unless it is Jerry Rice.

Oh,man! I would love to see him play for us,,,but I'm completely torn on who wears that #11 jersey:huh:

I'm gonna roll with Nancy R. on this & just say No!

No way in Hades, but as soon as he signs thise retirement papers, I try my best to hire him as asst. WR coach.

2000's Jerry, is that you? lol

He would be an improvement, but no way am I giving up a high pick for a 35 year old receiver, even if he can stay in the league for 2-3 years. Regression will happen.
