I am looking at the schedule for the last 5 games.
As we know the NFCE teams play each other 4 or the last 5 games. NYG play 3 games against NFCE opponents though. WFT their last 5, Philly has a bye then, their last 4. Then Dallas 4 of the last 5.
I then looked at the rest of the NFL. I see a few other teams have 4 of 5 or most have 3 of 5. But not too many, and not a complete division like the NFCE. NFCS comes close.
I get the division games toward the end of the season, division race, playoff race. The added game, the added payoff team. Makes excitement for a lot more fans than the past. Keeps many more fans than usual interested.
But is this overkill. I think 3 of the last 5 are fine. But the last 4 or 5 straight, or the last 4 of 5 is overkill.
I guess since the NFCE has not had a repeat winner since 2005 or whatever, they really want those ratings.
What are your opinions and thoughts? I know there will be a variety of them.
This game against WFT coming up is pretty much a much win IMO.
