Last game for McNabb?

Could this be the last game for McNabb in Philly?

I have heard some rumbling about it in the past but after looking at the situation in Philly I would not be surprised to see this as McNabb farewell game in Philly. Philly drafted Kolb who will be entering his 4th season next year and is getting to a point where they need to play him if they intend on looking to him as their future.

Only if he plays an absolute turd of a game tomorrow night.
There's just no way you can ditch him at this point. With the talent they have, they should compete in the NFC for another 2-3 seasons with McNabb at QB.
McNabb is the face of the Eagles ... I don't see them sending him to pasture after the season he's put in.
Kolb, on the other hand, could garner some decent draft picks from teams in severe QB need.

If DeMarcus Ware plays his best game it could very well be McRibb's final game in the NFL. :D

That wont matter. It has never mattered. Even when he loses a game by his INT's or turnovers. He is talked up in a positive way. Its disgusting how they never bag his for sucky play.

I just don't believe it. Reid just signed an extension. He loves him some McNabb, and McNabb is a helluva qb.

The fans in philly who want to see him run out of town are idiotic. Go take a look at the Commanders and see what happens in this division if you don't have a competent qb. Or look at the cowboys before Romo.

I'd love to see the eagles run out of town, because then they would see how good he was for them.

I think if McNabb has a big game then yes he is back but I do have a feeling if he goes out and does not play well that Philly just may move on with Kolb who as I said is entering his 4th and final season in Philly.

I hope it is the last game for him. Cause the guy has been a thorn in the Cowboys side for 10 plus years. The eagle fans are spoiled to his Qb play. It took awhile to find Romo and took 3 years to groom him and 3 more years for him to mature to play the way he is playing now. I was ready for Aikman to retire towards the end but be careful of what you wish for. After 10 scrub quarterbacks, i would have taken Aikman back at 40 years old in a Wheelchair. Thank you Jesus for blessing us with Romo. Go Cowboys !!!!!!!!!!!!!

It might be a good time to purge the offense in Philly, if they're insistent on sticking with Kolb as the future.
They're likely going to have to make a tough decision on Westbrook, too.
Could bring the Kolb/McCoy/Jackson era in Philly ... I'd sleep much easier (remember the 2005-06 McNabb/Westbrook/Owens era?)

Keep in mind he is owed $10M next season and that's the last on his contract. They refused to extend him this offseason, even though he asked for it (they gave him a raise instead).

With Kolb having some success in the games he subbed for McNabb this year, I absolutely think the writing is on the wall.

Greg Ellis would be having a canary in a similar situation.

Thing is we did not have a QB we were grooming behind Aikman. If you end up losing Kolb and stay with McNabb then you do risk staying with a QB who is on the downhill side.

I hope not.

I take comfort in the knowledge that as long as McNabb is the Eagles QB, they will never win a Super Bowl.

They might get close, but when the pressure is on, he'll come up short.

I'd rather play against Kevin Kolb for the next 8-10 years than McNabb for 1 more.

Kolb doesn't have the ability to make it happen when the play breaks down like McNabb. Ratliff, Ware, and Spencer will feast on his bone marrow.

Does that take into account if 2010 is an uncapped year?

No but then the uncapped year is not a sure thing either.

Yes, I believe it very well could be the end.

610 WIP was reporting this week that Brian Baldinger and some people that they said are close to the team said that the Coaching Staff thinks Kevin Kolb is ready to go and that Donovan McNabb has to get the team deep into the Playoffs to be back next year.

Hopefully this sets up perfectly for an epic fail on Donovan's behalf.

Agreed...McNabb has been hurting the Cowboys for a long time now, and I'm sick of it. Kolb doesn't offer nearly the same threat

I like this.

Actually back on Madden 2001, I blitzed McNabb with a custom made linebacker and ended his career with a severe concussion. Not that I wish that on him in real life, just saying. :)

I typically don't like seeing players get hurt but this is kind of funny.
