You're clearly way more comfortable with the Johnson/Allen situation at FS than I am. Even if its not a perceived starter in the first 3 rounds I would have to take a safety somewhere. Just for the sake of making sure Danny McCray never sees the field on defense again.

Very good other than that. Warmack, Schwenke and Taylor would be incredible and Short would be a nice addition to the DT rotation.

There is no way not even in my wildest dream. I would love the first three but don't know much about the next three.

This one has the right balance of quality and realism (I hope). Great mock.

I almost went with Wilcox in round 3.

I think if they went with your draft they would swap out the Center and take Wilcox.

I think they believe that IF they can shore up the OG spot it would help Costa.

And if Taylor is gone at 6, go after Kruger.

I love this. Trade Miles Austin for a 4th and grab the best Safety available and it'd be a dream draft.

Jerry has said many many times.

They do NOT like to trade players during the draft. He says their value is usually at the lowest. Which would seem to indicate that if anything he would trade to GET a player instead of trading a Player we have to someone else.

Another thing about trades during the draft for upper players (meaning not backups and such) is that most teams would want to get a physical of the player (and I am sure Austin would be one with his medical history) before they make the trade.

That is why you see the Albert and Revis trade(s) trying to get done before the draft.

Not really a short fan at all. That's the only pick I don't really like though.

very nice draft

if the draft falls this way after rds 1 and 2, you almost have to consider safety in 3 unless schwenke is just so much better than the available safeties

i say this, because there will be good OL still available in rd 4 (bailey, faulk, williams) and you could potentially sign moore and/or an OT to fill in from FA

we need a potential starter at safety who can be expected to start at most by mid-season if not right out of the blocks

Wouldn't mind that either. I think Kruger could turn out to be a pretty good player.

Chance is not dropping to us at 18. I will eat crow if he does. :)

I wouldn't be surprised if he is there and we pass on him. Now if Cooper is there, that would be amazing.

Can someone point me to some good film on Schwenke?

Every game i've seen he looks like a grizzly bear on ice skates.
