It's kind of funny, because last preseason Dez couldn't participate, it was a pretty boring preseason. There just didn't seem to be too much to look forward to.

This year, with the lack of football and a new HC and so many changes in various positions I almost can't think of a position I don't want to watch.

From the OL to the 2nd year players to Dez to the progression McGee has made..

It's going to be a good preseason.

Definitely, I'm looking forward to it.

I want to focus on the OL and Secondary especially.

I will be watching
-the oline
-miller/tanner battle
-hopefully murray (maybe last 2 games)
-Mcgee
-Rob Ryans blitzing defense (hope the teams we play know we are throwing the book at them. Hope the can catch it....lol)
-back ups linebackers and sean lee.
-d-line (towards the end of the year or run D sucked)
-see how ratliff hold up (285)
:star:

Good thread and I agree. I want to see how Harris and Radway stack up against other defenses. I'm also excited to see whether Philips can pick up where he left off last pre-season. Tryon Smith and our 2nd year OL guys will be interesting to watch also.

I think we will tone down the offense/defense for preseason. If we have watched Garrett the past few years he plays very conservative during the preseason.

I love and hate preseason. It gets your blood pumping but it’s such a tease.

With all the coaching and personnel changes taking place, preseason is bound to be interesting. There'll be scads of new things to watch for, that's for sure.

I think we need to do well in pre season especially playing good fundamental football.we were assured last year that pre season form was irrelevant but we carried that form into regular season with sloppy football and really bad defense.

I think you are going to see starters playing a lot more than in past seasons.

I thought that may be the case too but Garrett was asked about it and said they probably wouldn't change it much.

i love vanilla, my favorite flavor of ice cream and pudding. i dont find it so plain.....

i would rather call the bland offense something like tapioca....eeeeeew

True. But my money is on Garrett running a Jimmy Johnson-like ship, and assuring that preseason form is good form. W-L doesn't matter, but I think we will at least see a disciplined effort.

Agreed. Last preseason was a dud. And watching our players just kind of go through the motions of preseason was scary. Vanilla was a word that was thrown around quite a bit. I think we all hoped that we were playing it safe and we would some how just come out of our shell when the regular season started. Well, we all knew what happened after that. 1-7 and the season was a wash until Garrett took over. I have never tasted such a bitter pill.

So again, I agree with ya. I am as excited as I have ever been. The preseason can't get here fast enough. I wanna see what we've got.

Its going to be interesting to see how well they are cohesively compared to Denver. Those offseason workouts will either pay off or they won't but we will get an inkling if they are going to have made a difference on Thursday.
