Last Year Before the Games

About mid season last year I started doing some histories of the matchups with our upcoming opponents. It was mostly a smack talk operation, but there was some good info as well.

I was wondering if people wanted that to continue this year and if so what else could be added to the threads to make them more valuable. I looked at these threads as a primer for the upcoming games.

Your input is respected as always. Let me know what you think is good, what could make it better, what stinks, etc.

There was one for the Eagles too, but I can't find it. I was thinking that I could add stuff like our all time record on the given day we are going to be playing, injury reports on our opponents, depth charts, scouting reports, etc.

I like the history........you've got most all aspect covered. It looks good as is Hos.

Along with all the previous information, maybe you could add who the coaches were, and specific scores (if it isnt too daunting), so we could see trends.

Maybe you could also add the current latest line using the Vegas books.

I like everything you've been listing. As far as adding something, I know it would involve more digging, but it would be kinda cool to see player quotes from post-game interviews. Almost every game story has some. You could put them in with the scores of the more memorable games of the series.

I hadn't thought of the Vegas lines. I can do that.

I did think about previous coaches but wasn't sure if that was interesting or not.

That would involve some digging, but it isn't impossible.

I was thinking that the thread I created in the History Zone which has every game vere played betweent he teams could be added to the info.

I enjoy reading it as is, especially the discussion of who has bragging rights.

Some teams have hurt Dallas in the past, like the Steelers etc. But other teams have never done anything of note. Although they may have won games they weren't big games.

That was after the 30-20 win over the Niners in the NFCC. Just an example. The DMN site has all the game stories.

If somebody hasn't owned you recently, they'll use some history to throw it in there. If that doesn't work, they will find some foothold to base their argument on. I have yet to meet a fan that said, you know, your right, I am rooting for the all-around lesser team. Thank you for showing me the light, the truth and the way...

The Saints fans last year were mostly humble, and I honestly don't care if fans of other teams like these threads or not. I actually hope they hate them. That means the truth hurts.

I readily admit that we have teams that we need to close the gap on in the head to head matchups. We face one this year in Miami. Not much to brag about beyond Super Bowl VI.

I can be truthful when someone has bragging rights over our team. No blinders here, no koolaid, and no blue and silver shades.
