Last year that was the allowed bonuses total for UDFAs for each team. Maybe a little higher now.

Everyone hates that 49ers, Ravens etc. had 7-8-9-10-11 picks today. Compensatory picks in large part from FAs that signed elsewhere. (I could say that the rich get richer, or that "good teams turn over their old guys and get younger" etc. but I won't.)

Well Cowboys DO have an advantage today relative to those teams - we can argue to UDFAs that they have a better chance here. Only three picks today in Dallas. We had seven picks where other marquee teams had a dozen or so.

If I was a UDFA I would rather come to a team with 7 draft picks than a team with 12 or more draft picks.

That as well as coaches are arguing to the UDFAs - that Cowboys have a great record of UDFAs making the team, Miles, Tony etc. .... I might come here too ..

Sorry drinking Miller Lites this afternoon .. .looking for a competitive advantage - maybe we should tout that DFW women are better looking too?

Except when the Giants and Jets come calling. :laugh2:

That is not a reasonable argument - a team would be stupid to keep a 2nd day pick over a UDFA who performed better - in many cases there is not much difference between 5th-7th rounders and UDFAs - you are really talking very thin differences in terms of evaluation

Do you guys realize the NO STATE INCOME tax only applies to games played in Dallas?

The players pay income tax in the state the game is played in. So the players pay state income tax for 8 out of the 16 games ... not played in Texas.

There was talk of one state doing that, but I'm pretty sure they backed off.
