I just got done watching that game. We played like crap. Down 20-3 with about 5 mins left in the game. We manage to score on a good drive capped of by a T. Glenn TD.

And then.......

Roy intercepts McFlabb and returns it down the sidelne for a TD! To top it off Bradie destroys McFlabb.

IMO, that was the play of the year. Any other nominations?

The play of the year (or plays if you prefer) were the Moss TD's on MNF. That likely kept us out of the playoffs.

Another possible one would be the Fujita sack on Trent Green which forced the fumble Spears recovered. Had KC scored even a FG on that drive (that play happened inside the 10) we lose that game.

I have to agree that play by Roy was the high point of the season. If they had made the playoffs, Jujo's game against Carolina would've been #2 and D-Ware's monster performance in that same game would be #3. The first win over Philly gave me a lot of hope, but it was too early in the season to be called a high point.

Agree.
I know we didn't make the playoffs but that was an important game.
If nothing else but to show the team that they can beat the Eagles in thier own stadium.
Beating the Eagles who dominated our division for so long was an important step.
The fact that Roy picked off Mcnabb and Bradie ended his season on the same play made it poetic justice.

Sorry. Let me clarify. I meant the one play that gave you the most joy or excitement.

The Cowboys had many exciting games last year, but the Philly game was the greatest.

Down by 13 with 4 minutes left...and then seeing Roy Williams streaking down the sideline. I still remember screaming and jumping up and down. Just a pure classic. We didn't deserve that game, but it sure was a great win.

For me, the most enjoyable performance was Newman's domination of Steve Smith in the first half of the Carolina game. I finally felt like he was over the hump after a struggling sophmore season.

or that one against Seattle where we lost because Bledsoe threw the interception at the end.

It's funny how that can be said, and no Cowboys fans will disagree - but the second the MNF game against the Skins is brought up as "lucky" "stolen", or any other word that suggests the Skins got away with one is used, their panties bunch up awful quick. Insecurity is a sad thing, lol....

Me and El Chevo from this site met up at The Wildcat House, a local sports bar, to watch that game. There was a freaking obnoxious Eagles fan there that every time they did something good he was flexing like Hulk Hogan and sticking out his tongue at every Cowboys fan around him. Especially at a Cowboys fan friend of his.

When Roy returned that INT he grabbed his keys off the table and stormed away. I asked the Cowboys fan he was with where he went. He replied, "he couldn't handle it."

I kept thinking about cats ;) for some reason.

funny you mention the philthy game...

yesterday one of my coworkers and I were talking about playing football for PT and he mentioned how some guys always act injured after they make a dumb play....which of course forced me to bring up Mcnubb and the second philthy game last year. How he was scrambling and moonwalking early in the game, then he throws the game away and he can't walk off the field.....hmmm

Heh...I live in PA. I was at a Buffalo Wild Wings, and there was a Philly fan at the bar, loud and obnoxious as he could be. There were a fair amount of Cowboys fans there. He was letting us all have it. After McNabb scored, he stood on top of the bar stool and started laughing, and pointing. As time was getting shorter, he kept singing the "na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good bye" song. Other Philly fans were there, and they were embarassed for the guy. After Roy picked that pass off, and housed it, he just sat silent in his chair, fuming, as we all jeered him.

It was the best.

I feel all warm and fuzzy inside hearing about his pain.

I remember seeing Newman struggling against Steve Smith a couple of years earlier in the playoffs.
NFL films had a microphone next to Parcells and he was yelling at Newman.."Hey! ARE YOU GONNA START COMPETING OR WHAT? THIS GUY IS KICKIN YOUR A**!"
I believe since that game that Newman has taken his game to another level.
Last year's game was important to Newman because of that playoff game.

I felt the same way when I saw McNabb laying on the field.
Moonwalking one moment when the team was ahead and laying on the field when they get behind.
This year Mcnabb is trying to act like he is care-free and laughing about the whole TO situation...The NFC East is better than when the Eagles use to dominate the division. Mcnabb is in for a rude awakening.

Someone who posts here went to the game. He came on the boards and posted a few things about the game and went to pass out.

Believe me - had Reeves not come up HUGE (a play we all really overlook, alot of times) he would have went right back to being unbearable. We should have all sang the song right back to him as we left.
