Turning back the clock it's obvious now we would have been much better off
keeping Fasano, Ayodele, Ferguson and our 4th round pick for Pacman.

Was Ayodele that much a liability on defense that we needed to replace him and go after aging vet players?

Is Bennett and the pick to acquire him that much better than Fasano?

With the need great for a big body in the middle of the 3-4 defense why get rid of your biggest and best wide body?

Some will say we cleared cap space... but in essence we created holes that now need to be filled and we changed the chemistry in the locker room by getting rid of quiet role players. And the picks used to acquire Bennett and Pacman could have yielded players in other positions of need...

Sometime the moves you don't make are better than the moves you make...

Yes Ayodele was awful. Made a few tackles but never dd anything to alter a game. The lBers in the 3-4 should ALL be able to make things happen.
And i'd rather have Bennett than fasano. Bennett is going to be a beast of a receiver in this league and he's a very good blocker as well. He is going to create so many mismatches its scary

I disagree with pretty much your entire assessment.

Didn't we take Scandrick or Choice with that pick?

If so then YES Bennett and the pick are MUCH better than Fasano

? 4th round pick for Pacman

One and an incomplete isn't too bad. The problem with the Adam Jones for a sacrificed fourth round pick is that no one knows what kind of player could have been gained through the draft at that slot.

So my entire assessment is wrong huh? Was not the team chemistry hurt by the immaturity of Bennett, the lack of production and big mouth of Tank, the stupid antics of Pacman...

Bennett is a much better talent than Fasono, say what you want.

I'll say this:

Bennett is the flashy, streaky player.
Fasano is more deliberate and consistent. And seems a bit tougher.
But if we had to lose Fasano, we could do far worse than Bennett.

I'm still trying to find something I agree with. Sorry but I do not share your perspective.

I don't know why they got rid of Fasano. He is a decent TE. However, I doubt you will find many who would take him over Bennett.

Fergy could have helped and may could still. But we thought Tank would replace him. He didn't but I can fault that move. Fergy is too old to be counted on.

Akin was terrible as a WILB.

Adam Jones was a plus for the first part of the year allowing Jenkins and Scandrick time to get used to the game. He self destructed although I still think he got a bad deal. He brings a lot of baggage. He still has talent if he'll listen to anyone and learn technique. Perhaps he'll get another chance elsewhere.

Fasano
2006 14-126-9.0-0
2007 14-143-10.2-1
2008 34-454-13.4-7

Bennett
2008 20-283-14.2-4

I think Bennett has been way more consistent, tougher, blocks better and actually made a noticeable contribution as a backup. All I remember from Fasano were drops, poor blocking, and always being banged up.

How anyone could have watched Bennett as a rookie this year and think that Fasano in anyway compared to him during his 2 years in Dallas is amazing to me.

Look at the stats bro. Fasano, as a starter in Miami, only caught 14 more passes all season than Bennett who backs up the best TE in all of football.

In one season in Dallas Bennett had almost as many catches, had more yards, and has more TD's, than Fasano had in his 2 years here.

It's not even close that Bennett was much better.

As for Akin and Thomas...Thomas wasn't great but he did make a lot more tackles than Akin ever did while here. Akin was just not good here.

Bennett didn't hurt the chemistry on this team, at all, and where you came up with that idea is...I don't even know how you'd come up with that.

And the pick we used on Choice in the 4th round was ABSOLUTELY worth it.

Sorry bro but your assessment was about as dead wrong as it could possibly be.
