After rewatching it last night, I actually have more confidence in the rematch. This years team is a better team. My perception of the start to finish dominance by SF last year wasn’t accurate. They dominated the first 1.5 qtrs and still had only 16 pts. Aside from an awful job tackling deebo on their long TD they would have been shut out the last 2.5 qtrs. I think the oline is better and the ability to stop the run is better now. Rewatch if you can, might change your perception.

Their team is a lot better too but its crazy rewatching....it felt like we lost by 50......we had a legit shot at winning at the end of the game if not for stupid penalties and of course the mistake by Dak at the end. Also should've gave Pollard far more touches than they did. I can't say i'm confident we win but i'm confident we compete.

I rewatched last year's game last night also:

Here is what I saw from a 9er fan's standpoint:

1. Dallas killed themselves with penalties. This is not something the 49ers can count on this weekend. Probably one of the main factors we won.

2. Bosa was out in the second half. This year Bosa has been a game wrecker for opponents. He has made the critical plays that led to wins all year. Thankfully he is healthy tomorrow.

3. Dak was timid in the first half. Dak was ripping it last week against the Bucs. Sometimes you have to take chances and throw to receivers that are covered and trust your receivers will catch the ball. However, this can also lead to turnovers if they do not.

4. 49ers offense sucked last year. I am sure Dallas has improved from last year as well. Deebo was our only weapon and he put us on his back last year. But I can tell you this is the best 9ers offense I have seen since the 90s. They are dynamic. They are using all of their weapons. Last couple years Kittle has become an Olineman. This year he is being used as a weapon in the passing game. CMC has changed the 9ers offense. Aiyuk got his 1000 yards this year. Then you also have Mitchell who is finally healthy this year and Juice who is our version of Moose. I would argue their offense is playing better than their defense at this point.

5. Jimmy almost handed that game to you guys. I am a Jimmy fan and have defended him to my friends for years. But that game he overthrew wide open receiver that led to the int that cost the 9ers 7 points. Then when we had a chance to ice the game on a 4th and inches. He snapped the ball too soon while Trent Williams was still getting set.

One of the main factors for both teams is our star rushers: Parsons and Bosa. The way I have seen opposing offenses attack both players to neutralize their pass rush impact is they run the ball at them. Which ever team is successful in running the ball at these two pass rushers will be able to limit their impact.
