Going thru some old boxes cleaning things out,and found a couple of old VHS tapes I had gotten from my father-in-law and had completely forgotten about. He passed away over three years ago,and was my biggest Cowboy's buddy. We spent many hours throwing spinner baits and crankbaits on Texas lakes,talking Cowboys football. I sure miss him!
There is another box that has more tapes in it that I haven't had a chance to explore,but will this weekend. The couple I found are:
85' Cowboys-Giants(Landry/Parcells:30-29 Cowboys & 28-21 Cowboys! Yes,both games on one tape!);
85' Cowboys-Commanders (Landry-Gibbs: 44-14 Theisman 5 int. game& 3 qtrs. of 13-7 win later).

I think I know what I will be watching this weekend!
As I go thru more,I will let ya'll know what there is!

seriously, its funny that those coaches Landry butted heads with in the old days are still coaching in the same division LO these many years later...

I suppose its easiest to say that the game simply passed Landry by, perhaps as it has with Gibbs and Parcells, but I would put Landry at his prime among the top 3 coaches of all time. what was it - 20 years in a row in the playoffs??? unreal... Parcells and Gibbs together aren't as good as Landry was, IMHO.

what i started out to say was, i hope your father in law is sitting midfield in heaven, second row in, right behind the bench... old fans never die... :)

Brilliant!

Utterly green with envy! Sadly, we didn't get full games or live games in UK back then.

Enjoy!

Very nice and congratulations. It isn't very often you get a second chance to say hello to important people in your life. I envy you very much, not so much for the gold mind you seem to have discovered, but for the opportunity to say hello so to speak.
