since the league let NBC steal Fox's best game of the YEAR, they probably want as many of the best games on as possible since there's alot of dud games usually in week 17

Each network is allotted two games in major market area on the final week of the regular season, plus there are extra NFL games today because no Thursday, Saturday or Monday games.
