Yeah. Rivers was slinging the ball and found success in the middle of the field all game. If they punted, the Chargers were not going to run the football. Everyone besides Trufant isn't great on pass coverage. They front 4 is somewhat surprising to me this year imo.

Should have but the defense failed to stop Rivers on 2 straight possessions before and most of the yards were thru the air. If they would have converted on 4th down, that meant that they would go for it on 4th down again until they at least get into FG range.

Even though they failed on 4th down, the Chargers were still not in FG range and the playcalling wouldn't be that aggressive compared to being in their own territory where they have the entire field to move the ball thru the air.

Atlanta did do an ok job on rush defense all game. They probably felt that they can get a couple of tackle for loss and force Rivers to throw the ball short one time. That would force the kicker for a very long FG or possibly a punt.

That didn't happen because Chargers got a first down mainly on rushing the football.

This happens at my Kings forum, too.

And it's not just me, it's like a prevailing "thing"

It's weird. If someone talks to me I answer, good or bad. Unless they're just being a troll, but even then I usually respond.
