Anyone else see the Lion defender hit Tony , in the back, after the ball was gone.

The replay happens very quickly, but from the ones I have seen he gets a direct shot, and is taken down.

Thats when we see the victory celebration as he lies on the ground.

Why no Roughing the Passer ????

I didn't think it was late, but it did seem to me like a borderline shot toward the knee area that is supposed to be called (the Palmer/Brady rule). I was mostly concerned he might have had a knee taken out on that play.

Appreciate your read... I like you was concerned about where it occurred, as much as how... One thing , his back must be better as that one looked like it should have taken him out of the game.

Not really a late hit but a low hit for sure. When it comes to roughing the passer penalities on Romo I don't know what the deal is but we still see very few flags and sadly I don't think that will change the rest of his career.

Totally agree concerning his back. The fact he got up from that hit, along with a couple of those other shots, tells me he's feeling pretty solid.

Romo has been hit late many times this season without a flag being thrown. I remember 1 game where the defender took 3 steps after the ball was gone and flattened Romo but no flag was thrown.

That's the only plus of Romo getting roughed up like he did. We now know he can take it. Lions play dirty - Suh, Raiola, Ansah - thugs. If you can't win without being dirty then you can't win.

There is an Aaron Rodgers thread and a Jordy Nelson thread. There's not a lot else there, honestly. That is all the Packers need to win a lot of the time.

Thanks for your commentary. To me, low and potentially dangerous... Great to see him able to celebrate, get up and move after it.

He appeared to have very good lateral movement all day, so I hope that's a sign that the micro fractures aren't an issue anymore.

I agree. I don't think it was a late hit, but I will admit I was worried when I saw Romo bend awkwardly on that play and then he stayed laying down longer than usual.

Because it wasn't Brady Or Peyton.
