1. Reuben Foster LB- A guy I never expected we would have a shot at. Add him to Lee and Jaylon and we have the best LB corps in the league.

2. Jabrill Peppers SS- I loved him in the 1st before the failed drug test. If he is there at 60, he is a no brainer.

3. Tim Williams DE - While he is not an every down player he does offer what we need the most. Pass rush ability. He and Gregory can take turns being suspended and as long as we have one of them our defense is much improved.

4. Jourdan Lewis CB - Years from now when we look back at this years draft people will be amazed by how many cb's were ranked ahead of Lewis and how almost all of them ended up being not as good.

6. Aaron Jones RB - Can be that third down back we need now and eventually be the no 2.

7. Jahu Chesson WR- Had a down senior year but is an impressive receiver and a steal at this pick.

7. David Jones S/CB - small school player with great measurables that could eventually be a starter but for now would be depth and special teams.

It's the all or nothing draft.

Foster: There are questions about his coverage ability even without the drug issue.

Peppers: There are questions about his coverage ability as a Safety, even without the drug issue.

Tim Williams: There are questions about his size, even without the drug issue.

Lewis: Small and slow at the combine.

****..... People complained about a Smith being a waste due to injury....

4 guys in this aren't playing the 1st 4 games..... If they're lucky not more

They can hang with #94 till week 10

Don't get the Foster pick. If Smith is healthy Foster is a part time player on this defense. No thanks

That's a big if; Lee is injury prone and getting up there in age, and Cowboys may want to opt out at the end of next season. I don't like Foster @28 due to all of the off the field stuff, but I'd take him there without it.

Either we're going to have a smoking great draft that will beat any team's draft or the entire class of 2017 for the Cowboys will be on suspension at some point during the season.

I doubt your first 3 picks are on the board when we pick in that round.

I just heard that Joseph Randle said this draft is worth killing for.....

Agreed. It would be a waste of talent considering we have bigger needs. And I liked what I saw out of Damien Wilson last season. We are good at linebacker.

Instead if Chesson you should take Tarik Cohen. We are going to need a back up RB more than we need another WR.

Will people stop acting like Peppers is a possibility. He's terrible in coverage. At best he's an in the box type safety that can't cover. Did you get enough of that with Roy Williams?

If the point of your mock was to create discussion, bravo. But if you're trying to be right, I just don't see the first four picks happening.

The point was to draft the players we need. This is what I would do. Not what I think the FO will do.
