No defensive lineman has moved up draft boards faster thanAaron Donald of Pittsburgh. So the question is where will Donald end up?I’m told the talented lineman could be selected as early as the 6th pick or as late as the 16th choice.TheAtlanta Falcons own the sixth selection and the feeling is if the quarterbacks fall and none of the top offensive tackles or pass rushers are available at the selection they could look in Donald’s direction.I’m told the New York Giants will consider Donald at 12 as will the Chicago Bears at 14.If Donald somehow lasts to the 16th pick it will be manna from heaven for the Dallas Cowboys.I was told weeks ago Cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli expressed to Donald the desire to draft him during combine interviews. There are many reasons for Donald’s rise but as one source pointed out none are greater than the interior pass rush he brings to the field.

I freaking knew he was going to end up going too early for us. I said it back in January when he was listed as a probably 2nd round choice. ******!

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports that and AFC executive called Pittsburgh DT Aaron Donald the "best D-lineman coming out in the last 10 years."

"Had an AFC executive call Aaron Donald the "best D-lineman coming out in the last 10 years." Buzz is real. Comparative player? John Randle," Rapoport tweeted. Anytime a defensive lineman gets compared to John Randle people tend to listen. However, anyone paying attention in the last couple of months will know that Donald has put on quite the show. Donald's performance at the Senior Bowl, Combine, and Pro Day, match everything that evaluators are seeing on tape. While his size may cause concern, his ability to produce should put interested teams at ease. Donald could possibly even crack the top 10, our own Josh Norris has Donald going to the Raiders at No. 5 in his latest mock draft.

Now you're just doing it to torture me, aren't you?

I typed up a mock draft on dallascowboys.com in January and had us taking Donald in the 1st. I said his stock would rise "after he blew up the Combine and Senior Bowl". I got a lot of hate for that and just said "wait and see". I was confident, after watching tape, that people were going to notice that kid.

Well, lo and behold, they did.

That was just dumb. Teams likely had him highly rated but the various pundits lacked a clue

Didn't John Randle go undrafted?
How soon some forget.
That is how uncertain this stuff is.
The hype is getting out of control.

And talk of Donald going to Atlanta--a team mostly needing OT, DE, or OLB (all
Strong top 6 positions)--is preposterous

You need to start a rumor. He's got seven children, a sealed felony conviction for beating up elderly women and he hasn't attended classes since the 9th grade.

It was stupid. Any DT with that kind of production would have to have a limb severed to not be taken highly. I'm sure the teams knew he was going to go round 1.

Haha, even that probably wouldn't work...

I expect that reflects various "experts" having an initial opinion based on nothing but measureables.

Of course, pay sources have to keep interest up by varying evaluation so they likely don't bother with film at all early on

And every time I play that first-pick draft game, he is there for me to take at 16. I knew it was too good to be true. I wonder what it would take for the trade to get into the top 10 to draft him. I hope not a lot. I am thinking a 1st and 3rd. Depends on how far up we go.If we can't get Donald, I am hoping Barr falls to us. If not trade back.
