Calvin Watkins is reporting on twitter that instead of a one year tender, the Cowboys are working on a multi year deal.

Maybe somebody else can provide the link. I'm mobile right now.

If his health issues are resolved this is a great signing, we averaged over 1.5 more YPC a game when he was healthy.

Excellent. He was definitely a difference maker in our running game. Get him up and going and improve our oline and we should be good to go on offense. (well, after we get a third TE too)

Sounds good to me as long as his health has completely checked out.

His problems make me a little nervous but I'll trust they have done their due diligence.

Good grief. Bad news IMO. Find a younger FB without a history of injury.

Hardly a disaster but it better be a very cheap deal.

did you watch our running game with and without him last year or did you take some games off to get pricing for billboards?

Fiametta is only 25, only three younger fullbacks played in an NFL game last year and none of them are FAs.

Also, it's not like Fiametta has had serious structural injuries. If his headaches have gone away his body is perfectly fine.

now if Dallas can go get a center and two guards, then they'll have something

Nice attempt at a dig, but no billboards.

What I did notice was how Fiametta happened to play against some awful run defenses like the Rams and Bills.

Latest I heard was that Fiametta had an Inner Ear Infection - I read this on the official website, or heard it on one of the webcasts (Lunch Break, etc).

I really hope that was the case and not significant concussion issues!

If he is healthy, then signing him to a long term deal would be Great!
FB's shouldn't be too expensive, so hopefully we don't over pay him.

He was a solid addition that truly filled a weakness/hole this team has had for YEARS. With Bennett possibly gone, we might rely on FB blocking again more often.

Of all our own free agents, him and Robinson are key re-signs if you ask me.
