Latest Walter Football Mock...not terrible

Walter Football's latest 6 rd Mock has the Cowboys doing a solid job, imo.

There are few things I may do differently for sure, but it's a pretty well-rounded draft.
Check it out.

1) Tyron Smith, OT, USC
2) Ras-I Dowling, CB, UVa
3) Quinton Carter, S, OU
4) John Moffitt, OG/C, Wisc
5) Roy Helu, RB, Neb
6 Terrance Tolliver, WR, LSU

They seem to feel pretty strongly that Roy Williams and his 11 million due will be gone. They even think Newman is a possibilty, but I'm not so sure.

It's not horrible but I have a hard time getting the warm fuzzies over waiting until the 4th round to draft a center or guard.

If it went down like this you keep Newman another year, and Roy, and you cut Barber, Davis, and Hurd. I just can't imagine going into the season with a Jenkins confidence down, and Ras I Dowling on the other side. We might look like Houston last year, bombs awayyyyyyy!!!

yeah give me Rackley in the 3rd and hopefully Dallas can make a trade and get Ellis or Jenkins in the 3rd too.
Also I would like to see Williams in the 5th. We need a NT.

Agreed...they would need to keep Newman.

In todays in NFL with all of the WRs flooding the secondary, you basically need 4 starting CBs (who can preferably tackle). Or else your safties have to be able to cover almost as well as your CBs.

I think we keep newman no matter what this year. He will only save us 2 million if we cut him.

yep, I like Brandon Harris to replace Newman next year. Aaron Williams is a nice replacement for Scandrick at nickel and then can develop into a FS. Dowling is kind of the same as Aaron Williams to me.

If we go CB in the 2nd I hope it's Harris, if not then depends on whos left. OL or DL or trade down should be the choice. We can get a starting CB in next years draft just as easy to replace Newman.

As a Nebraska fan, I can say Helu is just meh. He's had a few good games though.

I would rather go DE/NT than RB WR at this point. If Barber is gone, Jones and Choice can handle the running game for now. RB would be a luxury. Need over luxury everytime. Same with WR. We are good on WR. It is too expensive to cut RW11.

I want a second OL drafted high. Either in the second or a trade up if Pouncy is sitting there in the late 1'st.

I think with rex running the defense the DL will be OK just by resigning one or two of our guys but the OL is ancient and has to be fixed ASAP. With a high tackle and guard we would hopefully be set.

Pfft, he has us taking Quinton Carter in the 3rd with Kenrick Ellis still on the board, FAIL!

He has the Jets taking Ellis with the 94th pick, if he's on the board in the bottom of the 3rd, then we better trade up and get him!
