The Raiders announcers actually had the nerve to draw some comparison between the Triplets of the 90s Cowboys (Aikman, Irvin and Emmitt) and the potential trio/triplets of Jamarcus Russell, Hayward-Bey and McFadden. :laugh2:

Did anyone else hear this?

NFL Network used to use one team's announcers for the first half and the other team's announcers for the second half of preseason games. They used the Raiders' announcers for the whole game last night, which was disappointing and increasingly annoying as the game went on.

Yeah, I heard it. A strictly "speed" guy like Bey was the biggest stretch in that analogy. He's a lot closer to Alex Wright than Irvin.

I heard that but they were comparing how they were drafted consecutively in three drafts like the triplets.

I'm sure the comparison was only wishful thinking. You really can't blame them for wanting something like what we had. Their guys have a helluva long way to go to reach the status of the guys below.

I watched the Oakland broadcast on KTLA but pretty muched tuned out Flores and Plunkett.

I almost threw up when I saw the Emperor interviewed at half time, damn he is scary looking.

They were talking about the idea of how you build a team. I thought the Raiders broadcast was so much better than the crap Blue Star puts out. Bad Audio, bad cuts, glitches, cheap graphics...blah.

Yeh, heard that, too many tokes on the Al Davis senile crack pipe. I mean comeon when you think of Troy Aikman the next thought in your head Jamarcus Russell? Or Michael (playmaker) Irvin, your next thought Darrius (I couldnt catch a cold) Heyward-Bey?:lmao2:

I used to live in California and the Raider nation always over reacts to a preseason win over Dallas like this every year the two teams play in the preseason. I used to give some Raider fan friends of mine the "Preseason World Championship Trophy" when they would win this game and brag like they were on their way. The trophy was simply a blank piece of paper so as to remind them of what is really at stake in the preseason... nothing.

yea. I was looking forward to the second half for that reason. needless to say, I was very disappointed to find the OAK bozos still on the screen.
Those guys bored the crap out of me.

Agreed.

I noticed that as well. Despite the poor commentating, the Raiders broadcast had a more professional appearance.

I think you misheard. What I heard them say was that Jamarcus Russel ate some triplets.

That and a variety of other things. They said their first stringers CLEARLY outplayed our first stringers (I thought our 1st was 7-3 vs. their first) and it was a complete bowing down to Al Davis. You would have though the Raiders had just won the last 3 Super Bowls.

On the play where the pass clearly hit the dirt and Wade challenged, one of their doufus announcers says, "Well, I don't know...it's kind of hard to tell."

..........no, no it wasn't.

Is that Alexander Wright the one that broke his leg during preseason running a pass route and Dallas got rid of him ? If not who was it i'm thinking of?

Probably Mike Sherrard. He broke his leg twice over a period of a couple of years, then Dallas ditched him. He ended up on the 49ers as a depth chart guy that would come in and catch a pass every now and then.
