Or where have ye gone? Ye of 11 TDs, Red Zone threat, numerous tough catches after a Romo scramble? Ogletree doesn't come close. :(

He got jagged.

You wanna pay a number 3 6m a year? Go for it see how that works out. Now if he was signed for say 4yr/18m I would of been fine. Otree is so bad it's unreal.

He went to Jacksonville to tank out his career with a large wallet

Exactly. And it was so predictable as well.

Seriously.....

Maybe after Jacksonville dumps him, we will take him back.

Comes down to the Front-Office. They looked at the the set of WRs beyond Dez and Austin and thought they had the guys to play #3, #4 etc.

It looks like they evaluated wrong at this point.

In the offseason the Packers were dangling James Jones in trade in order to clear the way for Randall Cobb. I wish the Cowboys would have been made a play for him. He already has 7 TDs this season and is tracking for slightly less than 1000 yards receiving. He could have been this year's Robinson for a great deal cheaper.

Oh well - hindsight.

I'd settle for a competent #3 receiver. Heck, it would be nice if we had a #2 who knew his routes. ;)

I'll gladly take him if he's cut this year.

OK, let me explain it yet again:

Laurent Robinson's TDs, as is evidenced by his total lack of production when leaving the Cowboys, was because Tony Romo kept plays alive with his feet. LR did not stop the red-zone production from deteriorating and our offensive production has been getting gradually worse and worse every year. LR did not stop these problems offense. No Tony Romo, no big contract for LR.

Just because Ogletree sucks, doesn't mean LR was the savior of this offense, just like it doesn't meant Costa is a great Center, because the guy behind him is even worse. Bringing PR won't shoot us to the top. I still have a hard time fathoming how skewed perception is of when LR was here. I guess KO sucks that much....

Laurent took advantage of Dez/Miles/Murray/Witten. Otree doesn't.

I'n not disputing that he was better that Ogletree. Him being on the team still didn't stop our decline in red-zone production, as well as our declining offensive production in terms of yardage. It's not like this offense was lighting the world on fire with LR.

Lesson of the day: If you are getting paid more than you know you are worth, take it. Because that organization will not give you that same offer when the contract is up.

After watching KO the last couple of weeks, I have nothing but warm fuzzy memories of Laurent Robinson. If he covered up for the deficiencies on the O-Line, so be it. Right now we have the worst of both worlds--a terrible offensive line and no reliable receiver to take the pressure off of Romo.

That is the thing.. He didn't cover up for the deficiencies.. Our OL was awful last year and our offense, like it does every year, was have a couple of high scoring games against bad defenses, which totally skew perception. KO just makes it even worse...

Laurent took advantage of Dez and Miles injuries. He doesn't get nearly the stats he got last year if Miles doesn't have the hamstrings and Dez the quad and other assorted injuries. That being said, Robinson is still a huge upgrade over Ogletree.

Since that's not going to happen this year, I'd be in favor of giving Harris and Beasley more opportunities as the #3. I want to see what they can do.

Anyone but Ogletree. Harris and Beasley balled against the Rams #1s in preseason (I know, its the Rams dude).

O-tree balled against the Rams that game too.
