LaVar Arrington said Monday, after being cut, that he may retire.

Arrington has undergone two knee surgeries and an Achilles' surgery in the last three years, a span in which he's appeared in only 23 games.

If I was him i'd retire.

Hes had a pretty good career. Great college player and a pretty good linebacker in the pros.

Hes financially set for the rest of his life and unless he doesnt fully commit himself into rehabbing with that injury then hes worthless to his next team.

Hmm why is this in the Cowboys Fan Zone? Not to be rude or anything unless there's talk about him becoming a Cowboy which I highly doubt..

He was due 900,000 this year. Personally, I'd be okay with signing him to a conditional contract if he could pass a physical.

"pretty good" in the pros is ridiculous....the guy made the probowl several years in the NFL...that's better than pretty good, and he was playing well in NY before his injury.

I think he'd be very very good in a 3-4 doing what he wants to do anyway...get after the QB.

"we should bring him in for a look."

I shudder to think of all the over-the-hill players we've brought in over the years and they prove to be ... over the hill.

Please no.

Lets all hope your feelins arent on target.

You really want a washed up LB who plays 5 games a year?

No way is Wade Phillips even going to consider him.

oh please...the guys been one of the most overrated player in the league since day one...every good defensive coach that gets around him hates him and thinks he's dumb as a brick...he makes tons of knuckleheaded plays and he's coming off an achilles injury

the guy isnt worth the league minimum

so what, dont click on it then

What I dont get is this...

If this poster posted this same thread 30 seconds after someone else made the orignial post about LaVar being cut then this thread would be merged...

INSTEAD... this poster posted about LaVar being cut 30+ hours later and its not merged.

SO, if this was merged like it "should" be, we wouldnt have to talk about a washed up, injury prone LB.

Anyway, to answer your question... I clicked on it to make the poster aware that this is a repost.
