I would sign him.

I really think he has burned his last bridge and will not be with the Commanders next year.

Knowing BP's feelings toward "street Players" which is Lavar's reputation, I would be shocked to see us bring him in.

He's worth a look.
He is probably a classic 3-4 OLB. His best asset is his pass rushing ability.

After all the burnt bridges not sure how trusworthy he is but he knows the division and would try to beat the Skins with all his heart.

Lavar became expendable when Gregg Williams proved he could turn the Skins into an extremely powerful defense without Arrington. His public contract disputes only put the icing on the cake.

Lavar Arrington can play both the weak and strong side. I may be thinking way too much, but you could call some really sweet and innovative defenses with him in Ware moving around and blitzing from every direction.

Heck, Arrington can even get on all 4s and rush from the DE position.

I do not like Terrell Owens and I dont know much about Arrington, but when you are talking about talent of this magnitude, you have to look into, to be fair to your team.

Definately worth it in my opinion if Lavar is healthy.

He can play with his hand down like Ware.

I wouldn't mind having Ware and LaVar on the outside with possibly James and Burnett on the inside.

Singleton, Fujita, Fowler and Shanle would be quality back-ups

Well the knock on him is he cant stop free lancing. Hes hurting the team by not being where he is supposed to do. If he could learn discipline and play within our scheme, sure, bring him in. But if hes gunna keep doing what he wants despite what hes supposed to do, no thanks.

For the right price, I'd welcome him.

His name has become bigger than his game but he would be beast in a 3-4. And I'd love to see all of those Washington Arrington jerseys go to waste. :lmao:

Yep.

The only problem is a guy by the name of Mike Zimmer.

Mike would not know what to do with himself to have some talent like this on the field.

I think his play calling would still be stale and uninspiring...same drop back zone coverage that compotent QBs figure out eventually towards the end of the game.

When you are not happy where you are you are not happy. I think a change of scenery and some "freelancing" throughout the defense would be good for him and us.

not gonna happen. not a team player, does'nt cover all that well. his freelancing would be a major problem with the young guys.

LaVarr has a lot of talent, him and Ware would keep coaches up all night trying to gameplan.

Yep, throw innovative and effective blitzes out the window with this guy calling the plays and making schemes. No way does arrington have a big impact with zimmer

Based on what we have.......I'd sign him in a minute. This guy opposite Ware would be a nightmare for offenses. I doubt that it will happen but I hope they are forced to cut him. Otherwise, they would never trade him to Dallas.
