Patriots All-Pro Ty Law placed on Injured Reserve
By Patriots Insider Staff

Ty Law, CB will be placed on the Injured Reserve list today, effectively ending his season. As reported earlier on the Patriots Insider Hot News, Law was not seen at his locker earlier this week during the media session.

It became a concern that he may have either suffered a setback in his rehab, or that the team felt he was not making enough progress to return in time for the postseason.

Law hurt his leg in a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers Oct. 31, 2004. The injury turned out to be a broken bone on the top of his foot. Initial estimates for recovery from an injury of that nature were in the neighborhood of 8-12 weeks. This meant he might be available sometime around the first or second round of the playoffs at best.

In recent weeks Law was upgraded on the weekly injury report, from "Out" to "Doubtful" and even recently as "Questionable" for the game against the New York Jets.

From Hot News earlier in the week: "Ty Law: Where is he now"

"The last couple of weeks, even after being upgraded to questionable on the injury report, Law has not been seen in the locker room while it is open to the media, which leaves one to wonder about his status moving forward."

I'm suprised this has not gone national yet - It WILL.........this may benefit Parcells greatly in locking down a corner in 05. We can't ignore that AGAIN.

Too old, Let it go Law will be 31 or 32 Dallas does not need to pay out big money for Law just to turn around and look to upgrade the position a year or 2 from now.

Believe he is just 30,

He can play corner for a few years and excels at what FS's do. See Aneas Williams and Everson and Rod Woodson as guys that made the move.

Nah - we don't need impact players on D. Parcells players slide to him and there is a lot of bad blood between Law and Pats right now..........

Only for the right price, Nors. If the Pats want to much for him or if he wants too much money then I'll pass.
