Lawrence Okoye(UK) DE at SRC

I'd line him up at SDE and tell him to destroy the guy with the football.

I wish we had a 7th to throw at him, I feel the investment would have been well worth it. I am just glad he didnt sign with an NFC East foe.

He seems to have a great athletic acumen (similar to Herschel, Bo, Deion)....It is like he has a natural gift to excel in different sports. He also seems to have the hard work, discipline, and drive to be successful in whatever he attempts.

So now he is a Niner, and watch him turn out to have a great career....:(

Being Marinelli's first year and implementing a new defense. I'm thinking he probably didn't want to spend too much time with one guy who obviously is going to need a lot of 1 on 1 attention with no football background.

Boy, you see that pic of him with his shirt off, that guy is ripped. He should go straight to the bodybuilding circuit with that body. Looks like a future Mr Olympian.

I saw video of him running through drills at the regional combine and boy did he look stiff. He does seem to have good athleticism for a guy his size, but his movements just didn't seem fluid. In other words, while he seemed to have a lot of athletic ability, he didn't really move like an athlete, if that makes any sense. I'm sure he will improve with experience, but at first blush the guy didn't seem like a natural football player at all.

You can learn a lot, but in many ways, either you are a football player or you're not.

Sounds like a big version of AOA.

Or he could be the next Christian Okoye. A pure track and field guy who went on to have a stellar career playing football.
