Can it be Fisher is just being a drama queen?
Heads him on 105.3 earlier today saying the team has some very serious concerns about Lawrence and his back issues.....well if they are that serious, then IR him and bring up Tapper....

I think Fisher may be over playing this a bit. I have no reason to say this...but it is my gut feeling.
I don't anything is confirmed yet, and we know how Jerry plays games with the media....he admitted that to the public last week as to how he stirs thongs up....

Take Fisher with a grain of salt...IMO.....he may be using a SWAG theory here, and a calculated one.

Might be best to draft a Weakside and Strongside defensive end to groom in 2017 draft.

Hopefully Irving continues to show up and develop. That would help a ton. Gives us leeway in the draft and can probably lock him up for a few more years relatively cheap at the beginning of 2017 since all we have to offer him is the vet min

I would still look for a pass rush specialist in mid rounds because i can see Irving moved inside on obvious passing downs while being a base down SDE.

Yeah, we're just going to have some needs and this draft is deep in everything we need. Since I expect a #1 to be spent on a DE since there's going to be a lot of good ones there, I don't know if any of them are going to be close to BPA in the mid rounds, especially when there's a lot of secondary and #2 WR in this draft that will probably drop.

doctor jones gives us his best medical update. next year we need to draft two more defensive ends. we just cannot win at this position since the early nineties.
DeMarcus Ware wasn't a mistake.

Should have made more effort to keep him.

If Denver could afford him..

We should have also.

I made a mistake in not thinking about ware. even he was a disappointment in some of the big games he was with us. we really needed him against the giants in 2007 playoff game. he was a big player for us in 2009. after that nothing special.

I'm hoping we bring Ware back in the offseason, even if we just use him in obvious passing situations...

If you are in your early to mid twenties and require a month of rest to "maybe" get back, it is fairly serious with that back. He was worth the chance when we drafted him, but it looks like that back is going to be the demise of his career. With as many back injuries we have incurred this year we might be looking at adding a spine specialist to our crew of medical staff. I am just half joking. I wish DeMarcus Lawrence the best and a quick and full recovery in time for the playoffs.

Probably a flare-up of his lumbar radiculopathy symptoms. With his history of disc herniation and instability, I wouldn't be surprised if he has spondylosis or the same condition as Tapper, spondylolisthesis.

Demarcus Lawrence has to be considered a bust if by the end of this season hasn't shown huge improvement. We usually say we need to see what they have by their third year. Well I haven't seen much.

Hard to disagree. Two things: 1) Like JJ said, just rest him up, rehab him and get him ready for our run. IF he can help us win a SB...makes just a few big plays then he isn't a total bust IMO

2) We need to go crazy drafting D next year. Not because our D sucks ( I like it more than most on this board) But because if our D can get CLOSE to the level of play of our O we will be darn near unstoppable the next 5 years or so. I heard a draft analyst on sports radio today in Chicago say that D.End is a stacked as he's seen it in a decade or more. 5-7 could go in first two rounds. He said that Oline...especially Otackle is very depleted. I'd like to sign a swing tackle in free agency personally. Green is like Tapper at this point...just too banged up to rely on.
