Lawrence Vickers Quote

Love the words....but words are cheap.

Show me on the field and get your other 52 teammates to show it on the field.

2012 will be better than 2011. I really think we are heading in the right direction.

Hoping for a strong draft.

You people are unreal. Here's a guy who has never played on our team and already the skepticism of him begins. You couldn't just be happy?

Thank you Lord that you never gave me the attitude others seem to relish.

The cynicism on this board is something that really irks me! You see it in practically every post! Thanks for the info though Hos!

That's what happens with 16 years of frustration with this team and on top of it the attitude to today's athlete's. Too much talk. I hope the kid can back it up but for the most part in today's sports....they don't.

I hope he proves me wrong.

I guess I'm just old.

Bump. If that was TNew muttering those lines I would understand, but nothing I've seen from this guy leads me to believe he is anything but genuine.

Then what attitude would you like for him to take in April? What should he be saying?

I'm very excited to have him here. Everything I've heard or read has been encouraging. When you consider Houston's running game carried their offense to the playoffs, that's pretty impressive. Heck, their backup RB was good for 100 yds some weeks, even with Foster healthy. Vickers has to be somewhat responsible for that accomplishment.

I was sorry we weren't able to retain Fiammetta, but Vickers appears to be an upgrade, provided he and Murray are on the same page. I'm rooting hard for his success.

Age has nothing to do with it. Just good old fair weather fans with a pulpit.

Show me the money.

I second that. When it looks like we are bringing some leaders or at least some tough football players on to this team, some can only see the negative. I get not drinking the Koolaid every time we make a change, but come on.

Nope. True fan that every off-season whether it be a current player or a new addition hearing the same ole' song and dance.

Like I said I hope he brings something to this team that it has lacked for almost 2 decades.

In DBOY's defense...that is the type of things a lot of deusch bag meatheads at the gym would say.

Players Attitude + Effort = Performance

Worked for Jimmy.

So do you want them to have attitude or not?

I hope he keeps the same attitude he has always had, the taunting Ray Lewis pre game attitude. No fear from this cat.

I always thought a balance of Protein, Fat, and Carbs was the fuel for strength.

Vickers has a track record already. He is a good and intense fullback. That is not up for discussion at this point.

What is the difference between Dez Bryant and this year's receiver from OSU? This, at five o-clock, and after all practice is done, both will show up for extra work...but the current draft candidate will come ready to go.

Vickers already has this spirit and dedication. That makes for leadership and good binder for a team. He adds to the team concept well...and that is all ANY fan gets at the start of a season.

But to throw a crock of questions and doubt towards an individual player because you, yourself are a 'doubting Thomas,' is another issue of fandom....period.

You have defamed a player who isn't part of your own frustration handling process. How you handle that part, is personal, but how you loosely attack any player, is a social item, although.

And when presented to obviously counter a positive view, is out of line...and belongs back at the burn barrel. Along with the other 'sky is falling' routines.
