Before you start crying about his contract, that ship has sailed...you can worry about it in the off season....Tank is an average pass rusher, but great against the run...teams are going to try and run the clock and keep our offense off the field. He will play a big role if he's healthy.
He will take up blocks and free Parsons even more. I can't wait to see him and Gregory back in the lineup.

I agree, he's going to be a huge help. I think he's better than an average pass rusher though, as he often gets double-teamed. He also doesn't lose contain on the edge which is outstanding. He carried this team defensively for years, and even though he may now be the 3rd or 4th best player on D, he's still really good. A player's value doesn't always show up in the stats. He takes the brunt of Cowboys Zone's wrath because they're too worried about his paycheck and lack of sacks to recognize his actual value. I do think he's overpaid but I never blamed him for his contract.

I agree ranch. At this point, the goal should be him getting back a few games before the playoffs. Let him knock off the rust and get his wind back.
I want to see him , Gregory and parsons after the qb come playoff time

I look forward to that too. I think the cornerbacks are continuing to improve and I think LVE has played better lately too. Add in the reinforcements on the defensive line and this defense could take that next step.

It's business, Coach! This happens in every business where contracts are offered across this nation. Consider yourself lucky to be offered a contract, because most Americans work by the hour. In a contract, both parties have an advantage. The contractee gets to negotiate his worth, his services and for how long in years, plus any incentives, insurance, etc. The contractor, if he agrees, has to pay for your services but has the power to ask for a renegotiation, reduce the pay or outright cut you if you start underperforming that contract as time goes by.
But, why bring it up during the season? Just passing on players like tank and cooper....that's what pisses me off. Worry about the season and save that for the off season...

Sorry, Coach. I did not know you were so sensitive concerning player contracts. I'll make sure not to bring it up in your threads.

Sorry you feel that way...my intention was to put a stop to all the Tank hate....fans want a SB but just worry about contracts....that gets old to me.
No amount of complaining about the contracts will change them we have no control over them And yes he will help the defense.

And many of those threads move quickly to a back page.
I like the fact that people repost topics. I don't care to look beyond the first page, so I enjoy reading what's on this page.
It's all good.
If you don't want to talk about it, simply skip the post.
I don't know why that's so hard for posters to do.
Some are just looking for an argument it is what they like to do

What has D-Law done? Seriously. What has he done to justify getting paid $20+ million/year? How does that help the team when 21+ players are about to become free agents after this season, many of them being crucial/important players.

Good...just a waste of time...it's about winning and getting our best on the field. Like I said, we can worry about contracts in the off season....

Tank will go a long way toward bolstering the pass rush and especially, the run defense. He'll be highly welcomed to return to the DL. :flagwave:

Man, I hope you are right. I think that the guys who have been playing in Tank’s absence have been performing at a higher level than Tank was prior to injury. Maybe he will end up earning his playing time.

If what's his name, Dan Quinn can integrate him into the defense that is playing so far, that is going to be a good thing. Talk is cheap for this playa...I don't like his attitude, he don't care for me either, at least if he don't come in all "this and that, me"...he might just come back in when it counts, fresh legs, fresh attitude when it going get's rough. We know...a good defense is the best offense...cause of special teams.

Man, I just hope on his off time he ain't out with Jaylon...laughing it up. lol

D-law is washed up, got paid and now he's over hyped, over paid and a MAJOR underachiever. He's played with almost the same group of players and his sacks are lower than an ant's ball. He won't know sack if it was staring him in the face.................... Time to move on from D-LAW!
